Went last Friday for first time. Our neighbors had a gift card and invited us. Glad they did! When we pulled in the lot was packed. The gentleman in the parking lot led us just across the street to park which was no big deal at all. He also stopped traffic for us as we walked across the street which was nice.
When we walked in the environment and atmosphere was immediately obvious - it was a fun and authentic.
We ended up w a number of Apps - Caprese, Clams Casino, Calamari and Artichokes Francese... My personal favorite were the Artichokes while the Casino was probably my least - just a bit to much bread for my personal preference but as an indicator there were no App's left by the time the Entrees came
The next point is that the service was a bit "slow". A - One round of our drinks were missed - this wasn't a big deal as we just flagged the waitress over and she made good on it. B - the time between getting our Entrees and Apps was a bit lengthy. I put "slow" in quotes above as this could be perceived as a negative by some. I understand that some are in a rush to go out, eat and get home in 1.5 - 2 hours. For me - I like enjoying the Apps and not having the Entrees dropped on the table before I'm finished w my Apps or just moments after. I enjoy a little pause in between for some wine/drinks and like to enjoy some time w company in between rounds of stuffing our faces. Its a night out - sit back and enjoy it
Dinner was awesome - we had the Marsala ( freaking amazing ), stuffed chicken, francese and all were really, really good. Portions were generous
If you want to smile, laugh, have some drinks, have a relaxing night out and enjoy some really solid Italian food this is definitely a spot worth checking out
Cant wait to...
Read moreUnimpressed & irritated with our overall experience. Drinks were subpar at best, bread was served cold as well as it being crunchy/stale?, our tables food was mediocre, one dish was served incorrectly & service was frustrating. We were one of 2 tables in the entire restaurant. Our server was kind enough to create a dish for me because the menu didn’t have what I was looking for. I ordered salmon, mushrooms & broccoli served over fettuccine in a butter garlic sauce. I was told it absolutely wasn’t a problem and they could make it for me. Food comes out… salmon, veggies & lemon sauce on a plate with a side of rigatoni and red sauce. I waited for our server to come out and mentioned my dish was supposed to be served over fettuccine which she responded “oh you never said that”. The entire table looked at me and agreed that I did in fact say I wanted it served over pasta in a butter garlic sauce. I reiterated to her that I did ask for it to be served over pasta to which she again gave me pushback and responded with “ It’s not written down on my notepad so I didn’t hear you say that” I was appalled at the fact that she was trying to argue with me instead of apologizing and fixing the issue at hand. She ended up bringing the food back to the kitchen and not even a minute later came back with my food served over linguine, which was barely warm. I didn’t eat much of the food, choked down my drink and boxed it to take home for my partner. I work in the service industry and have for years. Bartender, waitress etc. I get it, sometimes things happen but I left feeling disappointed, hungry and disrespected by...
Read moreEDIT: After posting my earlier review, I received a call from Karen, another manager at Villa Napoletana. She was very kind and courteous, ensured that Villa is a very family-oriented establishment in which customers are treated like family, and that the service my partner and I had received was completely unacceptable. As someone who has a background in hospitality, this is what I consider the pinnacle of service. Still, Karen took it one step forward and offered my partner and I a hand-delivered dinner. Stellar service experience! I honestly wish Google Reviews allowed half-star reviews so I could leave a 4.5-star rating.
TL;DR of earlier review: My partner and I (both of us are immunocompromized) ordered late dinner (9pm) through Uber Eats. The menu on Uber Eats isn't complete, so we wrote our adjustments (my partner has Celiac disease and eats a gluten-free diet) in the comments, which are typically acknowledged via a phone call by the restaurant or the delivery service. The delivery driver arrived at the restaurant and alerted us that there was a problem. We called the restaurant, only to find that our order was never processed due to added charges, which we were never contacted about but would have happily paid if we had been contacted. The male manager with whom I spoke on the phone was incredibly abrasive and just generally nasty about the situation. By this point, it was 10pm, so most restaurants were closed. My partner and I finished the night...
