Alex Burgers — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

2nd visit 8/2023 Gave this place a try. Drive thru gal was rude, could not hear me and I had to repeat myself several times. I pulled up to the window to see two other cashiers- young girls all laughing. A cook in a black shirt that had blue gloves on but pulled up his apron to wipe his sweaty face- so groce. Another cook in a ref t-shirt was touching everything then reached in a bag for a handful of bacon- un-gloved- and threw it on the grill. None of them were wearing hair nets. I was very unsatisfied by the lack of good hygiene and good practices here. My order took 35 min in the drive thru. If I hadn't already paid by debit card- I would've asked for my money back and left. My daughter ordered the "tik tok" famous chicken, dry and over fried. cheese fried dripping in grease and the cashier who took our order was eating food at the register, while packing up our food. Wiping her mouth with her hands. Disgusting. I asked for a mgr- of course there was not one onsite. I was told I could call and ask for Paul on another day. Not waisting my time. No reason for a long winded review, but my family and I will NOT be returning. I didn't understand the mediocre reviews below, but I get it now.

1st visit- Found this place on TikTok. Nice decor & lighting outside. Drive thru service was mediocre. Young girl kept rushing me as I had questions on food I was ordering. Not welcoming for first time patron. When I pulled up to window blonde fair skinned young lady who took my order kept scratching her body and face while packing my order up. Pretty unsanitary however it appeared the cook had already closed my food containers so I did not ask for a refund. Food wise- carne asada quesadilla is huge, very filling and fresh. Carne asada burrito was on the smaller side but good. Breakfast burrito was excellent. Cheese fries were average size, cheese melted perfect. If it wasn't for poor service, I'd rate this place better. May give them a second shot, may walk in for service next...

Everything was served fresh and hot, and you could tell the crew at Alex’s puts care into their food. Whether you’re craving comfort or just want to treat yourself, this meal hits the spot.

My parents and I have been long time patrons of Alexs burgers! We love their Pastrami, especially new version that has relish! Fries are the bestest. Unfortunately I can't say same for the customer service, it has room for improvement. Lots of improvement! I went to get a chilidog, told girl on the speaker, girl asks chilifries? I said no, a chili dog she then repeats: a hotdog?, I said no, a chili dog. She asks a chilidog?yes. A chilidog please. Okay , gave me total and asked me to...please drive up to the window. Comes back on speaker and asked if I wanted everything on it...I ask her well its chili and cheese right? She then calls me Danny, and began to talk to someone else...so I drove off to window. I get there and she tells she did not get my order because I drove off. Confused, I replied no you did, because we went over it 4 x's. She then got aggressive and I was not okay with her pointing her finger at me, and raising her voice all while her face mask was half ways down to her mouth. Anyhow point is I requested to get someone else to assist me because Im starving and would get hangry in a minute and she said she was only person there to assist me. Finally someone else comes to window and made no effort to get order finalized,i nstead tried to justify girls behavior, which was unsatisfactory.So Alex, handle your scandal-ous girls...especially one with tattoo on her neck. Maybe she needs...
