Happy Bakery — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

I’ve been coming to this location for years, and it never disappoints! My mom, who never likes sweets, actually approves of their cakes—and that’s saying a lot. Both the vanilla and chocolate flavors are moist, delicious, and full of flavor—not dry at all.

The fresh fruit topping is another standout—you can choose more than one! My mom’s favorite combo is peach and strawberry. We usually go with the almond sides and ask for less filling, which they’re happy to accommodate.

These cakes are perfect for any occasion—or even just when you’re craving a good slice of cake. Speaking of which, I just found out they now sell cake by the slice (love this!), and they’ve also added fruit drinks and milk tea to their menu!

My most recent order was a cake for 25 people for only $55—absolutely worth it....

I searched Happy Bakery for business hours and this morning I arrived with my daughter to the bakery. It is CLOSED.I have been parked for about 1 hour and the Bakery is still closed. I also phoned the bakery as early as 8:30am and the phone just rings. Don't get me wrong, the cakes are delicious here but whats up with posting you open at 8AM on a Monday and 1 hour later you still remain closed? Has really good cake but twice as messed up I asked for strawberry and banana and they gave me strawberry and Peach and today I wanted to get a smaller size and they didn't have it and they wanted me to buy the bigger one and not give me discount for it everytime I try to talk to them the kind of rude they just start talking in their language and they don't really listen to what you have to say but I keep going back because the cakes are very good and even then when I told them that they've messed up on my cakes twice they still would not try to give me a discount or at least the bigger cake for the cheaper price a bit stingy if you ask me especially when...
