Tried this taco place and I just had to review this place. It's been a while since my last review. The reason I am leaving a very bad review this time is what made me need to leave one. I came with my wife to eat, since they have hype on social media. To start, the pastor has no flavor. It seems to have a lot of red color but that's just it red, no seasonings, tastes so bland. Also compared to my favorite locations around LA that cost $2.50 per taco. They cost $3 per taco here, and they suck. The main issue I had here is what happened to my wife. She got her tacos, when she was eating one. Something serious stabbed the inside of her gums. Something made her bleed a lot, I quickly told her to spit it out. Right away we just threw everything away. Only ate 1 ½ of my tacos. She was in a lot of pain I took her to be seen by a friend that's a dentist. She had a piece of METAL stuck in her gums between her teeth. It was a piece of METAL from a wire brush. Never had this issue happen, it's common knowledge that wire brushes are a bad choice to clean grills. No one should get injured just eating a taco. But it happened to us, my recommendation is eat somewhere else. There are better options and cheaper than this place. And for sure less of a...
Read moreWhen I first arrived there was about 25 people in line and I was ready to leave. I'm glad I decided to stick around. The asada meat is very flavorful and tender. The options they have are tacos, memelas, mulitas, vampiro, tostadas, and quesadillas. The types of meat they offer are asada, al pastor, chicken, ribs, and chorizo. Every single person that works at the stand is extremely friendly and made the experience even better. They were very informative on what some of the items were. The tortillas are all hand made and you are able to see them make it. The women making the tortillas are very sweet and work incredibly fast. Overall we waited about 30 minutes to order but it was all worth it in the end; I highly recommend the mulitas. Once we had ordered there was at least 30 people behind us!! I will definitely be returning very soon.
Update 9/22: I have been going back to this place since my 1st review and it never fails to hot the spot. Recently the menu was updated to include more food options as well as meats. The setup is larger and the people working are still as kind as ever. Every single time I go the workers are alway helpful if I have a to go order and are patient when asked what a...
Read moreLA street Tacos. It's a corner local, north of the 5 fwy Atlantic exit. They are pretty busy. We tried it on a sunday afternoon around 6pm and it had a long line. They open at 5pm. So they have the traditional al pastor trompo and asada, they have grilled sausage and ribs (rib tips). I'm going to say, straight up, the ribs are ok. They are of a dry rub style not traditional American ribs or even Kansas city or southern style ribs. It's just a rib. It not melt of the bone type, or sweat savory. Not what a traditional American style texas, southern or Kansas style ribs; its different. If ordering for 1st time, give it a try and make your own opinion. It comes with tortillas or rice and beans for $15. I would stick to the tacos. The al pastor was ok. They dont use pineapple slices, which some people prefer; I'm one of those "some people ",. To be honest, I really didnt feel or taste anything that stood out. They are super busy do they pro-make thier quesadilla tortillas with cheese and it's not actually fresh made. Its also $3 a taco, which other places that are as good are about $1.50-$2.00. So you decide. I gave it a try but, I've had better in East LA, West, LA and other suburbs of...
