La Michoacana Ice Cream Natural — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

The best esquites and crepes I've ever tasted and the raspado is good but too sweet for me Lots of different things to eat and drink here. I bought the esquite, a chicharron preparado, and a agua fresca I think it was fruit flavored with diced apples and I think it was chopped nuts with sliced strawberries in it too. So many varieties of paletas some I've never even knew they have so of course I will be back to try them. Wish I would have taken a picture of everything. The chicharron was really big and more than enough to feed two people sorry I ate some of it before I took a picture, it was $9 and had lots of different toppings on it compared to what I'm use to having on it. The esquite was a little spicy compared to what I'm use to but nonetheless good. The agua was really good with the pieces of fruit floating in the cup it wasn't too sweet but perfect. NEVER AGAIN!!! What a shame to our people, to serve nasty frozen corn to customers!!! Our people, are proud Latinos! My step dad had several Elote carts, we always served our community freshly pealed corn, grated fresh cotija cheese. We steamed the corn for a long time in a huge pot. The corn I received today from La Michoacana, was a frozen cob of corn. Corn is not supposed to be super dark yellow, that is can of corn or frozen corn. I had taken a bite, it was nasty! You can taste the frozen corn gross. The bottom half had some herbs on it, I did not ask for herbs. Had way too much mayo and the mayo tasted old. Please do not get corn here. Love the place ..the only thing and super weird. Was the service .. There was a young girl attending some people in spanish ..then I asked her in spanish about some Ice cream and she made an angry face and sais "I bed your pardon"..so I switch to english and she made the most annoting face.. SO it was super weird to be in La Michoacana, and be corrected for talking in spanish by this woman eho was speaking spanish to other clients. I MEAN la michoacana is a great well known place to get ice cream in Mexico that its why I went there and the products are awesome. It was just this mexican karen that made the experience weird.
