Came here for my brother's graduation dinner on a Friday. It was fairly empty, there is only valet parking. The area surrounding the restaurant is not what you'd expect from the incredible service you get once entering this establishment. The outdoor facade/ look is not appealing. The place looks as if it was a repurposed motel building made into a fine dining Mexican restaurant. The place is pretty big with plenty of seating for large parties. The interior is much more appealing to the eye with large canvased paintings of Mexican artists. My favorite was the recreation of The Last Supper but with abstract pineapples.

The food was good but not out of this world Mexican food. The prices are definitely high for what you order. I believe the chicken was the best. I ordered their combination of chicken flautas and the Chile relleno. Portion sizes are big which makes it all worth it in the end. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita! (Red) Overall, would come again for a special event like another graduation. We had 2 vegans (including my brother the grad) and we were given great service and accommodation for our diets. He had the veggie...

Whoever developed Google needs too add a feature for bonus stars as I give this 7 stars out of 5. Every time I walk through the entrance I am always greeted by one of the sweetest hostess gals I have ever met. Sometimes the owner is there to greet you and seats you as he is just an all out classy guy. What keeps my family and I coming back obviously is how good the food is but the service which is impeccable. We always have this server Salvatore wait on us as he is just the kindest honest server you will ever find. To be honest the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. Whenever I come to LA I always make sure I come here at least once and sometimes two times as it is worth the UBER ride.

To me this place is a hidden gem as the food and service is like no other place I have had which is very good. Wait can I use the words amazing and flavorful and addicting!!

To anyone reading this from Tamayo Restaurant I want to say happy holidays and wish you all a merry Christmas. Hopefully we will visit you one last time before the new year and if not I hope you all have a...

This was our very first time here yesterday. Very beautiful, cultural building with gigantic, artistic cultural paintings. Very classy restaurant. Food was awesome! Real authentic Mexican food. My in-laws had the fajitas they could not stop talking about how great the food was. I had the combination plate with chicken flautas, taquitos, and hard-shell beef taco. Let me tell you the hard shell beef tacos are the tastiest I ever had. My husband had the New York steak smothered with mushrooms and bacon he loved it. Authentic jaimaca, horchata, tamarindo drinks are the best. Our server was excellent, he always came by making sure we had all we needed with a pleasant smile and great attitude. I thought because of the fancy looking establishment I was going to pay a lot of money but for 8 people it came out to $140. I thought that was a reasonable price for such a pleasant dinner. I would...

This is a very artsy spot to eat some high quality Mexican food. Normal Mexican dishes like burritos and enchiladas but soooo good. We had our company lunch here and I'm going to come back for sure. Not too much of a luxury feel but good enough to make it feel like a special place. Lots to look at with the art on the walls and the raised ceiling and the sun shining through the high windows makes for a nice setting for a nice meal. The service was attentive with no issues. There is a bat, but I did not order any drinks this time. You can't go wrong here. You should try this place if your in the area. Remember there is a Valet service for parking $7.

We had a large party of about 30… the service was awesome, everyone was very friendly. The decor was gorgeous for the holidays. Food was great.. salsa was delicious. Everyone was happy with their plates, the portions were large. The venue is gorgeous and perfect for date night, a work party, or just to grab lunch. Only thing is they didn’t have the 3 salsas only the roasted and red/fresh but they chips were warm and tasty. We also ordered the guacamole that was delicious. Would recommend this for good Mexican food.
