My family and I stopped eating here years ago due to the slow service and raised menu prices for the small portions of food. We decided to try it again a couple weeks ago since it had been so long but we were just as disappointed as before. I got to the restaurant before my family and the waitress actually acknowledged me and asked if I wanted a water which I said yes to, I waited 10min and when my family got there, still no water. We were the only people in the whole place besides one couple who sounded like their whole order was messed up which didn't bode well for how our experience was gonna go. It took us forever to get our drinks and place our order and when we did get our drinks the waitress brought out my mom's garlic bread for her lasagna. My mom wanted to eat it with her lasagna so she waited and I told her we would just ask for more when she brought out our food. When the food came out finally, (which was a 40min wait) I asked the waitress for new garlic bread and she rudely asked if there was something wrong with it and when I said it was cold she acted annoyed and like we were asking too much of her. So as she went back to grab my mom new garlic bread my mom in the mean time went to cut into her lasagna and it was completely frozen in the middle. So now we had to wait on the waitress to come back again which didn't end up being till the garlic bread was ready and at that point my dad and I were basically done eating. So now my mom gets new garlic bread and has to wait on her lasagna and meanwhile we're all done eating. Everyone needed refills on drinks but not once did the waitress come over and check on us, she didn't come back till she brought out my mom's lasagna again and at that point my mom just wanted a container to go because she didn't get to eat with us. Then it was 10min before we even got a container or a bill. Meanwhile the couple that had there whole order messed up was getting an apology for the service and was told they would get a discount and my mom just gets an, "I'm sorry your lasagna was cold". I can't even understand why the service was so terrible/slow because there were no calls for phone orders and not but one couple that came to pick up an order in the 1hr that we spent here. There was no excuse for the waitress not coming back to check on us once. It was supposed to be a nice family dinner out and we didn't even get to...
Read moreI haven't been to ELP in quite a while but it was my birthday yesterday and I like their lasagna so when my son wanted to take me out for dinner I suggested it. My husband and daughter joined us as well. The whole experience was disappointing to say the least. The waitress was slow to come to our table and had difficulty with the concept of separate checks. Drinks arrived albeit a little slowly and food orders were taken. A lasagna dinner, a small two topping pizza and a steak bomb grinder with mayo on the side. My salad and bread came about 15 minutes before my lasagna. When the rest of the food came the bread was already cold. It turns out so was my lasagna. It was still frozen in the center when I went to cut into it. I stuck my finger in the center and there were still ice crystals. I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food. Meanwhile my family ate without me. The mayo on the side never came nor did soda refills or the waitress to check on us. By the time my food arrived everyone else was done so I just asked for to go containers for mine. That took another 10 minutes . All this elicited from the owner was a stop by our table and an "I'm sorry about the lasagna". The whole evening left a bad taste in my mouth and a shadow over my birthday...
Read moreWent to eat in on the 12/21 we got there around 8:20pm they close at 9pm. The lady said did we order take out? I said no that we were going to dine in. She looked at the clock and I asked what time do you close she said 9pm and we could order something to go.
There were 4 dirty tables in the restaurant and 40 minutes before closing.
We left and went somewhere else. After this experience I will not be back. I used to work in a pizza place and we sat people till we closed. I would not walk in that late and expect service but 40 minutes is more than enough time to order food and eat it before 9pm.
Talked to a buddy of mine and he told me that I was better off as there prices went way up and for smaller portions then...
