Made a reservation for 7:00 pm on Saturday night through Open table noting it was my wife's birthday. Our party of three arrived at 6:55 and we were promptly seated. About 5 minutes later we were greeted my a male server who asked if this was our first visit and we responded that it was and was highly recommended. He spoke in Spanish to my Mother in law and took our non alcoholic drink order. The drinks arrived about 8 minutes later with corn kernel appetizer. (The restaurant was not full) About 8 more minutes he came by and took our order. It was now about 7:20. A table next to us arrived and they ordered drinks and within about 10-15 minutes their food arrived. A few minutes later a female server brought a taste of tomato soup. At 7:40 the server came by and said our food would be done soon. At 7:45 we asked the female server going by where was our food as the table next to us had almost finished eating. (They appeared to be "regulars") She said she would check. She came right back after delivering food to another table and said it would be soon. It was now 7:50. We had been there almost an hour and still not eating dinner. If we would have known it would take this long we would have ordered appetizer. I let the female server know that we were getting impatient, that we had been there nearly an hour and still no dinner service and let her know that we would only wait 5 more minutes or we would need to leave and eat elsewhere. 10 minutes went by and at 8:00 we asked the passing female waitress for our beverage check as we were leaving. She ignored us. We started to leave and were stopped by another male server asking us to pay for our beverages. We paid the bill of $20:99 for Pellegrino, lemonade and non alcoholic passion fruit drink.
No apologies and no attempt at resolving the service issue. Just terrible service and no recovery. One of the worst dining experiences in Naples for the past 41 years.
UPDATE: In response to management's reply- If we disturbed your other guests upon our exit, I apologize to them. All your staff or management needed to do was to keep us informed as to why our food was taking so long along with an apology, provide some type of recovery for the lack of service, or at a minimum when we let the sever know we needed to leave to comp the bottle of water and lemonade. But, none of these actions took place but rather one of your servers accosted us at the door and demanded payment for the beverages. Again, no apology or any reasonable attitude shown by this person. Regardless of your challenges to having help as we are all dealing with at this time, customer service and recovery training for the people you have working for you would have avoided the entire problem with us and our first visit to...

I rarely initiate a conversation about a restaurant experience due to its’ personal nature, but need to step out to talk about LIMA, a Peruvian experience at The Village Falls, 5047 Tamiami Trail E, Naples, FL 34113.
We walked into the bar area where a smoking glass sat awaiting delivery, so I asked the bartender, “What is that?” “A Holy Smoke she replied, an updated version of an old fashioned.” And so it began.
When we reached our table, Lima’s version of chips and salsa arrived as well. This was a small bowl of puffed Peruvian corn with a serving of flavored mayonnaise. Light and tasty.
I studied the drink menu and remained intrigued by the smoky option. I do not request an old fashioned ever, but I was looking for something different, so I ordered one and it was outstanding. The smoke added a rustic note to the drink and it lasted long after I was finished.
Mrs. diner had a La Pelirroja - Red wine, pisco 100, triple sec, pineapple juice, passion fruit, orange, a Peruvian version of Sangria and it was equally tasty.
Once we placed our app order, a server brought a small cup of “on the house" soup that was hot, creamy, and the perfect amount to begin the food excursion.
Our frst course was a shared dish of Ceviche Lima - Grouper with a blend of aromatic peppers, glazed yam, choclo, cancha, leche de tigre, and a medium level of spice added. The generous amount of fish in the dish was a pleasant surprise as was the spice. Just enough to make it interesting.
We did not finish the ceviche. Doggie bag please.
We made a tactical decision to share an entree of Lomo Saltado - Juicy beef tenderloin sautéed in the wok with Roma tomatoes and red onions, served with au jus over jasmine rice and hand-cut fried potatoes. Another wonderful choice. The rice was perfect and the sauce was different. A good different.
Another take-home item.
We did splurge on a piece of 5-layer chocolate cake to take home and barely touched it. We were full.
The service at LIMA was impeccable from start to finish.
The restaurant has four seating areas; a bar, two large rooms inside, and a wandering covered deck off the bar. We sat outside and it was lovely.
This is a casual/elegant restaurant with white table cloths that should be sold out every night. Highly recommended and we will go back to try...
Read moreMy ratings are 4.5. We had a table reserved in the evening. We were greeted with warm welcome and were asked for our choice to seat, either outdoor patio or indoor. It was a bit chilly that night else we would have chose outdoor patio. Restaurant is really nice and clean with nice vibe to it. It was not crowded at all when we visited. As we were new to Peruvian cuisine our server explained the whole menu to make us more familiar with it. We ordered 'Ceviche Anconero' and Yucas Huancaina for appetizers. Ceviche Anconero was excellent in taste with a tinge of spiceness. Yucas Huancaina was good as well. It was more like a Fried Potato stick but completely different taste. It comes with Yellow Pepper sauce which was not spicy. For drinks we got Classic Pisco Sour and Chicha Morada. Classic Pisco was subtle and smooth. Chicha was okay. For entree we ordered Shrimp Tacu Tacu and Tacu Tacu Limenò. Shrimp Tacu Tacu was just excellent with really good taste. My wife did not liked Tacu Tacu Limenò but that was due to Soy sauce. I think Chef should add soy sauce details on menu description so people can make wise selection. Chef offered us a complementary Caramel Flan which was good as well. They did not charged us for Tacu Tacu Limenò. While order being prepared they served Cancha (Fried Corn Nuts) and Potato Soup. Overall very nice restaurant to try. Service was excellent and felt like they do care about customer. A random thought - Google shows a whole lot of different menu being served in the past which we did not find it tonight. May be menu had...
