What we have here is some of the best service coupled with a very good Cuban bistro and menu. We went all in on the Cuban, a pork bowl, and another sandwich from the menu similar to the house Cuban. A side of plantains and we were very happy. I ordered a house red Sangria and my wife had the fresh guava juice. I requested no ice in my sangria yet, still got ice. Just a personal preference but I really prefer the depth of Sangria and the wine flavor coupled with their choice of fruits. The presentation of our orders was as good as the food itself. I found every piece of pork to be deliciously seasoned, moist, and free of fat, as it should be when paying a premium price.
Ok ok, we're in Naples! I was raised here until I left to serve 32yrs. Coming home and finding luxury prices outside of downtown Naples was a slight shock. Location usually demands higher prices which Rumba is not located in, at Airport and Este Ave.
If not for the phenomenal service I'd probably make the drive to Hialeah and eat Cuban there at a more reasonable price. Still a very worthy Cuban eatery. We will save our future trips for special moments and seek to spend our $ at other establishments.

Read moreI'm not sure I've ever tried Cuban food before, and I have never had a Cuban sandwich. But I read good reviews on Google and decided to try Rumba Cuban Cafe.
When I first viewed the menu I thought the prices were high. On receiving my food I think the prices are more than fair.
Everyone I met was very friendly and attentive, although small the restaurant was clean and appealing, and my takeout order arrived in just a few minutes. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of rice and beans ($3.95 extra charge and well worth it).
I posted previously about a bad experience at a restaurant and how they took no care in presentation or how they assembled the sandwich. No problems here. The Cuban sandwich was a work of art and you could tell they took time to layer the cheese, pickles, ham and pork on the sandwich. The sandwich could feed two people (I ate it all), and the bread was absolutely delicious.
I think the only negative comment I might be able to make is that I didn't get a napkin in my to-go bag :-). I'm sure they had them available if I wanted them.

Read moreMy friends father had come to visit me in Naples recently from NYC. He owned and operated his own restuarant on east broadway. I took him to Rumba and he had one of their Cuban sandwiches and rice and beans. He loved it . The next day we visited calle ocho in Miami's little Havana and went to Versailles for a Cuban , one of the most famous & considered the best in Miami .
My friends Dad commented after the first bite; "I like Rumba's much better, the meat was moist the flavor unique and the service bar none." The next day it was his 91st birthday and his last day in Florida . No surprise I asked where he wanted to go to - RUMBA AGAIN! Not only did he relish his food he was spoiled by the staff and our waitress brought him a delicious dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday to him and then gave him a big hug. If you haven't been to Rumba you are missing a family owned establishment makes you feel at home and serves the best of class cuban you will ever have ! Gracias per todo and cheers on a job...
