Naples Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Florida

If google reviews had an option for zero stars, this would be the time for it. My family stopped here after having ribs at Michelbob’s for a dessert because it was the closest ice cream shop and had a ton of 5 star reviews. Upon entering the building we were immediately bombarded by a lady asking if we would buy her ice cream. She was considerably larger than I was, and got straight in my face within inches of me, asking over and over if we would buy her ice cream. I politely said no and went over to the freezer where they keep all the flavors of ice cream. While attempting to look through the flavors they offer, the woman was standing inches behind me looking over my shoulder, breathing down my neck. The employees did nothing to stop this woman, who was clearly homeless and loitering, from harassing paying customers. The girl working behind the counter just looked at us and said nothing. Eventually, I got so uncomfortable, I went over to my boyfriend and the woman followed, repeatedly asking for ice cream. My boyfriend finally gave in and bought her some. The girl working said “don’t worry I’ll only charge you for two.” We felt too uncomfortable to enjoy our ice cream in the shop or at the tables outside, despite it being 90 degrees. The homeless woman followed us outside. We ended up getting in our car and leaving, eating our ice cream on the go. 0/5 stars. Will not...

Don't let the unassuming location fool you, this place is top notch!!!

We stopped in to get our occasionally well-behaved toddler some soft serve, but when we saw the selection mom, dad, grandpa, and grandma all decided we would have a scoop (or 2).

The shop is incredibly clean, despite being fairly busy on a Thursday evening. Service was quick, and the ice cream was the best I've had....no question. Being from Wisconsin I'm more of a frozen custard person....but I eat enough to consider myself an expert.

Out of the 4 flavors we tried, 3 were just amazing. (32 total at any time, if I recall) Carrot Cake (10/10, seriously. Tasted exactly like carrot cake. Woah), coffee, and peanut butter fudge. Malted chocolate was good but low on the malt. Still tasty. Prices were just a bit on the high side, but downright reasonable if you got more than one scoop. After tasting the ice cream I think the premium is warranted.

We frequent this ice cream shop a lot as it’s a couple blocks from where we live. We enjoy the ice cream very much but there’s one issue every time…. The service. It’s poor each time we come. We have tried to give the benefit of the doubt but tonight was our last straw. Tonight (October 5th at 7:20pm) we went in and the employee working was a young girl. We aren’t sure if she was high or what was going on but she was quite rude and acted very frustrated as we ordered. My boyfriend ordered a large bowl with two scoops of chocolate and one scoop of vanilla and he asked for them layered. She was not thrilled that she had to switch scoopers. I ordered mine. We paid, asked for two spoons and she only gave us one. I don’t like to write bad reviews but something at this shop needs to be corrected before they lose loyal business. We’re not asking for the employee to sing us a song when we walk in. We just want competency and someone who is at...
