My 96 year old mother resided in an assisted living facility in Western New York for nine years. My husband and I kept putting off our decision to retire in Naples FL because we didn’t want to disrupt her routine, but on the other hand, we weren’t getting any younger. We decided that It was time, so I began the process of finding an assisted living facility in Naples. I wasn’t looking for a “resort style” assisted living with a pool and tiki bar, I wanted a comfortable place with good care, good meals in a clean, attractive setting.
I had a list of ten places and I made six appointments over a two-day period. Beach House was the third place I would see on day one. I rated the first two places I saw as “ fair,” which wasn’t good enough.
When I saw Beach House and took a tour, I knew this was “the place.” Debbie showed us around and the residence was new and immaculate. I loved it. We meet with Sharon, the Nursing Director, and being very familiar with assisted living, I was impressed with the level of care she outlined.
I cancelled the rest of my tours because I knew this was the right place for my mother.
She is adjusting well and receives a lot of support and attention from the entire staff. The meals are exceptional, the level of care is outstanding and her room is fresh, filled with natural light and immaculate. I couldn’t have asked for a more...
Read moreWe were living in Delaware and wanted to find a place in Florida for my Mother. Spoke with 'A Place for Mom' who provided 4-5 names of Assisted Living/Memory Care facilities in Naples, FL. We contacted the Beach House & did everything long distance through phone conference calls & virtual tours. We held a phone conference call with the management team and was able to get all of their questions as well as ours answered in a very efficient way. They have scheduled activities each day which begins after breakfast at 8AM & they ensure the residents are engaged in the activities. Residents do not stay in their room unless they are extremely sick. The Beach House is set up with common areas for residents to enjoy & is very clean. It has an excellent Health Aide to resident ratio & each resident is provided the personal care they need. Their residents are treated with respect. We are very pleased with our choice. A quote from my 97 year old Mother, "I can't complain, they treat me well, the food is good, & it's clean". We are very happy to hear that she feels very comfortable in her new living environment & feel as though we could not have made a...
Read moreMy condo was flooded and destroyed by Hurricane Ian 9/29/2022. Renovation would take At least 9 months. I wanted to try a senior Living place as I am 86. I didn’t realize at the time that they advertise as only an “assisted” and/or “memory care” place. I told them I wanted to be totally independent if I lived here as I had my own car; volunteer responsibilities; tickets to theater productions; friends to dine with etc. The staff welcomed me with open arms and said no problem. I know I’m not far away in the future of perhaps needing assistance as my walking ability is getting more limited and I use a walker. From the minute i interviewed to live here and unfailingly every day for the 7 months I’ve been here — I am impressed and proven what a friendly , happy , caring management team is in charge here. The team all call you by name within a few days of moving in. I don’t feel lonely. All the staff are friends to all who live here. The place is clean. Smells good. Every room is inviting and feels homey to sit in. Activities and trips are scheduled weekly. I would want my mom to live here if she we’re still alive. It’s a...
