I have been to the Cafe By Us numerous times.. the atmosphere is conducive.. it is welcoming.. the area is across the street from a school which is appropriate to this generation to be able to tangibly see a BLACK OWNED business.. I believe that there should be inspiration in whatever children see.. if they are around positivity.. they should be able to ascertain positivity.. if they are around negativity.. they should be able to know what NOT to do because of what the ending effect will be.. Uncle Sam has a story to tell and is a LIVING TESTIMONY to what hard work and tenacity can look like and I have personally seen him impart into the children.. they are GENERATION NOW.. and the time that he takes to instill into them is NOW.. Cafe By Us is more than coffee, muffins, refreshers, matcha and anything that you can eat.. it’s about FOOD FOR THOUGHT.. letting the children know that those GLASS AND BRASS ceiling they can bust through and CREATE their own future if they don’t RETREAT and keep PUSHING...

Sam could have opened this cafe anywhere, but he chose to invest in our hometown, and it shows. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve seen students, police officers, and even council members stopping by. It’s become more than a cafe—it’s a safe space for the community.

The food and drinks are always delicious, the service is excellent, and the vibe is unmatched. Sam brings real energy and warmth to the space. Whether you’re grabbing coffee, getting some work done (yes, there’s Wi-Fi and outlets), or just hanging out, it’s always a great experience.
