OK, so I came here Saturday and I originally wrote a review about the drive-through being very very slow but when I got home, I realize I was charged for two separate orders I came to your location and I ordered a fry lovers sandwich only and a Diet Coke. When I got home, I saw that I was charged $6.70 and also I was charged $49 and some change, the cashier at the window initially charge my card the first time and told me it didn’t go through. She charge my card again for my order and it went through. She charged my card for the order behind me first and then also charge my card I ended up leaving checkers that paying over $50 for a fry lovers sandwich and a Diet Coke. I called the number at the location over 10 times and no one answered the phone. I even dialed the number on the website and he said that someone would get back to me but then 2 to 3 business days and I’m still waiting to get refunded. I’m trying to avoid calling my bank because I feel like you guys took my money without paying attention. The sad part is at the cashier did not notice it right away and immediately refund my money or avoid the transaction. I don’t live in East Orange. I was visiting a friend and stopped in a drive-through that I waited in forever only to be charged and have my money stolen from me Checkers, you should be ashamed of yourself and I will call the Better Business Bureau on your establishment. Read moreThese people need to be retrained, mainly in customer service. They're typically not pleasant, they'll threaten and insult you, and they're horrible at following instructions. For instance, I asked for extra tartar sauce on my Deep Sea Double, and guess what? I got it and saw that they'd barely put any tartar. Then I asked for some sauce in a little cup, and the guy hands it back to me with a small squirt of sauce in there. That's not extra, that's the bare minimum. Sandwich was still really dry after being given that little squirt. My buffalo wings are also dry. Please work on this. They've got to be more competent than this - it's only a matter of following instructions and curbing your tongue while on a shift. Very disappointed.
P.S. As I scroll through these comments, nothing as changed much for at least two years apparently! There are so many reports of poor service. Please FINALLY do something about this! I bit into one, and it didn't seem thoroughly cooked to me. (I regularly go to a Bklyn Checkers, where the hot dogs are really well cooked; so the difference was immediately noticeable.) I returned & told the female at the window of the problem. No sorry; no nothing. I tried to show her how under-cooked the hot dog was. She just said she didn't want it. So, I threw it away. Feeling bad about what the quality of the replacement food might be, I signaled thru the closed window and asked for my $ back instead. Another female gave me my refund. Without a word.
