Ok first let's start with the food. I stopped here one time and then I liked the fry rice. On a Saturday I came in and the couple who owns it offered me a sample of the the Cook Up....omg it was like it hook meh bad. That cook up is the best in New Jersey. While waiting to attend my uncle's repast I figured the food may not be Guyanese vegan/plant based friendly. I googled several Caribbean restaurants between the funeral parlor and the repast location. I was detailed, you'll find 3 Caribbean restaurants on the same street. I met up with a friend here for lunch today and was so blown away with the kindness of everyone who worked there. Great service and a super clean space! The food was delicious - I got the jerk chicken with rice and beans, and my friend got the curry chicken. I tried a Jamaican beef patty and that was excellent as expected. Then to top it all off, a guy (one of the owners maybe), came over and gave me some oxtail gravy to try with my chicken. It was amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could eat...
