Qs Restaurant — Restaurant in East Point

You just never know who may come into your restaurant. Today I happen to stop by Q's in East Point Ga. Now everyone that knows me know I do anything to assist the elderly. The customer only wanted beef meat with rice on the side. It is understandable that you would charge for each item separately, so she advise her that it's better to get the dinner and the lady agreed. Now that the lady is still not understand I stepped in to assist. I'm am trying to explain to the line worker what she is asking for now that she's buying the dinner and all she kept saying is it comes that way and this is what she ask for. Then the owner of the restaurant says that's right it comes that way. Ok Q go back to the beginning and start over. Maybe you need to understand the community that you are serving. I for myself DO NOT eat rice. If I am buying a meal and I say to you, please put the rice on the side. I have a reason for saying that. The best response from you should have been. Yes. I can put the rice on the side and not under the meat. What if. Just what if she was told not to ever eat rice, but your response is. It comes like that. I hadn't been in a while I went after finding out Bank of America has eased out of East Point the bank is GONE nothing left but the ATMs!! I stopped in Q's I ended up with Cubed Steak and not the Chicken Fried Steak I asked for. Why did the server tell me that the rice counted as a side after the fact?? I ended up spending $26 on lunch!! I was charged for the extra side and the drink was extra!! I know things have gone up but that was ridiculous!! Whatever happened to the good ole COMBO?? The adding the drink separate is a big charge extra added to the total with tax!! The staff should let the customer know UPFRONT not after you've taken the money. They should also have the food marked so people know what they're getting and the price beforehand!! Some people come in with a budget and it would be very helpful if the staff supplied the pricing so people can stick to their budgets. I would've been embarrassed as hell otherwise as I wasn't coming in to spend that much glad I had it to spend!! First and foremost, I want to mention that this place has the absolute best Mac & Cheese I have ever had in my life. With Mac & Cheese being my favorite food, I can be a harsh critic when it comes to my precious Mac & Cheese but holy cow!!! The food is consistently yum yum in my tum tum. Mrs. Q & Mr. James go above and beyond to put out such amazing food and apart from that, excellent customer service. It’s not easy to be restauranteurs in an age where people can be so callous and difficult over miniscule things and they really do excel at treating everyone with grace and kindness.
