Never coming here again. I live very close by and we often take walks on the bike path. We sometimes stop at Borealis for convenience sake and get a couple coffees. Today we stopped to get drinks and decided to order breakfast sandwiches⌠Such a mistake
Props to the baristas as the coffee was done quickly (in only 3-4 minutes) despite there being about 5 or 6 drink orders ahead of ours. This was a nice change from how it usually is here which is relatively slow.
I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches⌠nothing fancy. I waited and saw one person receive their single sandwich after about 13 mins of waiting. I started to get impatient so I moved to the side of the counter to see if I could tell if perhaps there were a bunch of orders ahead of mine or somethingâŚ
Nope.
Just a person in a black hoodie with yellow text on the front moving so slowly that they could make a 100 year old tortoise look like a ballistic missile đ˘đ
This person spent a full 20 seconds buttering each half of a biscuit before putting it on a grill, and when they raised their arm to get the next ingredient it was done at the same rate as an 85 year old manâs johnson waiting for the viagra to kick in.
I know places get busy, but COME ON; get the lead out!
After 20 minutes of still not having any promise of food I told them to cancel the order and please refund me.
Someone please talk to the sandwich making person and find out if they took one too many xanax or something. I really want to like borealis but the biggest miss for me is consistency of which...

Whenever I've stopped in the past, I've ordered and stepped to the counter on the side to pick up. It took a little bit for the sandwich so I waited and occupied myself by looking at the display of coffee pots and tee shirts. It was then that the male in the flowered shirt asked me, "is there something I can help you with?" It was said almost as if he thought I had no purpose in being there defiling the sanctuary of people who did. It came off a tad classiest which isn't surprising given the area and assumptions made about certain groups in the area. I was also wearing a mask so maybe that made him feel uncomfortable. Yet, as Maya Angelou once said, "People will remember how you made them feel." I shouldn't spend a superfluous amount of money for the same quality I could have gotten at the local drive thru and walk out feeling as if someone thought of me as a stray, so I will give it a...

Staff was really friendly and encouraged my choice for my coffee. I opted for a hot Nutella latte. It was delicious as I'd hoped it would be. Price is standard for a coffee shop and the area.
Ambiance wise, this is a nice place with many tables. I'm not sure I'd feel cozy enough to sit and work here for a long period. It is a nice and quiet coffee shop though!
I'd really recommend a stop in to try their coffee. Also, they have a nice patio to enjoy in the...
