Riverside Creamery - Rhode Island — Restaurant in East Providence

Im giving this place 2 stars because on july 16 2021 it was a friday night around 930pm my husband and I expiernced a not so good experience we ordered 2 soft serve banana splits , there was a younger kid in a brown hoodie who had took our order and what seemed to be ok to order, obviously wasn't ok to order because after we said what we wanted A few minutes go by and then I heard sounds like some banging and swearing as if they were trying to be quiet it didn't work I said to my husband maybe we should leave because he seemed upset a few minutes later a older lady and a girl worker with burgundy hair and glasses came to explain the soft serve was to soft and if they could remake it with hard served ice cream. I said that will be just fine but the tension in there wasn't so pleasing. The older woman and young woman were very helpful and thank God they were there to make sure we were taken care of they were very good employees and should be rewarded for keeping their cool and getting the job done and pleasing their customers

Very poor service & disorganized. Two women received two of the three items they ordered. Staff forgot about the other three items. The two women had to knock on window to ask for the rest of their order. The two items they had received were now soup. Those two items needed to be replaced.

There were other people still waiting besides these two women. One woman was only waiting for a Del's. How much time does it take to fill a Del's cup?

A girls softball team showed up later and ordered. They were receiving their orders almost immediately while I and several others were still waiting.

There were three people working and still they couldn't figure out how to prioritize or work efficiently and quickly. It wasn't that crowded.

This isn't the first time I have encountered a backup here. My last time was much worse.

Will go elsewhere next time. It's a cute place, but not worth the long waits due to the screw-ups and...

Stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon mid October. Fun little spot! Lots of different flavors & options, many of the packaged ice cream treats were sold out but I’m thinking this is due to the shipping delays covid has caused. Excellent prices for an ice cream shop and they even had a fall apple treat I can’t wait to try! I got a medium non-dairy vanilla (their only option this late in the season) with two toppings and a canned drink, came to $6 and change.

On the side they have 5 clean, colorful picnic tables with umbrellas and a little hand sanitizing station. Lots of seasonal decorations to keep things bright and cheerful. Chalk decoration drawings all over including a hopscotch for the kids! Plenty of space to stay apart if wanted; they even have a pet watering station!!
