I’ve tried numerous meal services, but for one reason or another, none of them really worked for me—until I found Feast & Fettle. From the start, I knew this would be a hit! Their meals are FRESH, with no preservatives or unpronounceable ingredients, and everything is incredibly easy to heat up: just 5–10 minutes in a toaster oven or 1–2 minutes in the microwave.
I love their pot pies, enchiladas, tacos, and pot roast, and their sides are fantastic. They’ve even encouraged me to eat more vegetables than I typically would—Brussels sprouts, carrots, and green beans are now my go-to sides. For work lunches, their soups, chili, and chicken salad are perfect.
When I’m ordering for my granddaughter, the kid’s meals are a lifesaver. She loves the mac & cheese, bean quesadillas, and any of the pasta dishes.
Items that are not part of the plan include yogurt parfaits which are generously portioned and some of the best I’ve ever had, and their strawberry cheesecake dessert is phenomenal.
I’ve also tried a few of their Game Day items, and their potato skins are hands down the best I’ve ever had—hearty with actual potato (not just skin) and filled with delicious toppings. Breakfast options like their wraps and muffins are simple, fresh, and flavorful.
So far, I haven’t had a single meal I didn’t enjoy. In fact, the hardest part is narrowing down my choices because everything looks so good! I also love the convenience of fresh weekly deliveries and being able to track the driver so I know exactly when to be home.
I do wish their recycling program was different. I was surprised to find out it costs extra to participate—I feel that if you take the time to clean and return the containers, you should get a discount instead of paying $2.
Overall, I’m thrilled with Feast & Fettle. They’ve exceeded my expectations in every way, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for fresh, delicious, and...
Read moreI like this. The food is delicious! Everything is fresh. I like trying things i normally wouldn't make. We care for our mom who's at home in hospice care, so not having to worry about cooking is a very big reason why I joined this service. Christopher, our delivery guy last week was so Nice! Brought everything.upstairs, showed us how to open the bags as they were joined together with a snap. A Total professional! The only things I didn't like was that I have to pay a service fee to them, to recycle the cartons. I opted out of this as I can recycle the containers on my own for nothing. Not sure why consumers are charged for a free service (at least in our city). It's minimal, but every bit helps as the homecare for mom is expensive. I also wish they could offer more GF options as we have Celiacs in the family and not everyone can eat things, so options offered are limiited for us. I think being able to modify is wonderful, but not also not sure why we can't select GF pasta. There is GF Soy sauce around, so some of the Asian menu items can safely be adjusted, the taste is the same. Maybe in the future they can look into this more. I also wish they could offer a 3 person plan. I started at the family of 4 plan and it was too much, I downgraded to two, hoping this will be more than enough as the food as they provide is a lot. This is all trial and error for me. The fact that they let you adjust your plan is cool. Overall, I am generally pleased with this service! I would recommend this to people. You dont need to order every week and they even thought of game day items if you are interested in that. So they are thinking & tweaking as they go along. Thank you Feast and Fettle, I am glad you opened...
Read moreUpdating: I think it was unfair of me to give feast and fettle a lower review because of my allergy. My family actually begged me to keep using them and asked if we could just make me separate meat options and pick sides without sunflower. We’re going back to ordering and I highly recommend them. The food is good, their customer service is great, and it’s not their fault I have a sunflower reaction. Convenient, delicious, responsive, high quality and consistent. I apologize for the biases I showed before. You should 100% try them and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Original: As a person with chronic illness, I love the concept of ordering pre-made meals to alleviate meal prep. I take full responsibility for not checking the ingredients and recognizing they used sunflower oil as a person who has a reaction to it. Unfortunately, feast and Fettle uses sunflower oil in most of their meal options (especially in their meats). Similarly to olive oil, sunflower oil has a lower heat threshold and isn’t really supposed to be cooked at temps over 225 degrees, which it would need to be in meat grilling. It also is an omega 6 fatty acid, which is already way overly integrated into western diets and is highly inflammatory when eaten in large quantities. Because they use it in almost all of their options, we aren’t able to keep using them. I’m hopeful they might consider eliminating unnecessary extra oils from their basic meats so we can utilize their services again in the future. If you don’t have autoimmune/allergy issues, they still might be a good...
