Tonino's Pizza — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

Decided to try Tonino's last night on a whim cause we never had before. Never had a better xperience at a food establishment. They were closing at 11 and we walked in well after 10 to order take out. The lady told us to take our time ordering and we did not feel rushed one bit. The cook and the staff were so friendly and inviting. We ordered two full chicken meals, which were AMAZING! The chicken francese was tender and piping hot and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The chicken parm was the best we ever had. Chicken fried perfect and crispy and the red sauce was better than most we have had. The meals are also large, so they do not skimp either.

I had the baby with me and the woman walked out to my car with me to put the box in my car. Keep in mind a crew of about 10 men walked in after us to eat, so they were actually busy. This is always a plus when you have a child.

Kudos to this business. We were more than happy with this visit and will definitely be back to try more of...

Overall not too thrilled about this one. We ordered a plain pie, a pepperoni pie, and two orders of garlic knots.

I’m not a big fan of sweet pizza sauce. If that’s your cup of tea, slay queen. I’m not crazy about it. The plain pie costs about $13. The pepperoni pie costs $16. So you’re paying an extra $3 for maybe 20 slices of pepperoni. Eh.

The garlic knots weren’t that great. The taste wasn’t what you’d expect from knots. More onion than garlic. The sauce they provided with them tasted pretty close to Spaghetti-O sauce.

Called ahead and placed our order, told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived 20 minutes later and order was ready. The girl who took my order over the phone was extremely friendly and when I arrived to pick up order she was just as pleasant in person. Have to give the chef a Hugh shout out as the food was absolutely 💯 delicious and hot. I live in NYC and dined at many fine Italian restaurants and have to rate this Toninos right up there as far as food quality. The others might be ahead as far as looks and locations, but this small place in the Poconos should hold there heads high as far as how delicious their dishes are.
