I enjoyed the atmosphere, as well as the place itself. It was (extremely) busy when myself & other people arrived. This place was packed! Word of advice: If you're going on the weekend, get their early! That being stated. The waiting time, when I arrived, was an hour. The next couple they told them up to 2 hours. I don't recall if they take reservations?

Moving onward. Everyone placed their order. The waitress was very polite, even though, again, this place was packed. Due to my dietary restrictions, I ordered the chicken sandwich, plain with cheese only. It came with french fries. I asked our waitress to make sure mine had no seasoning for both items. Even though this place was busy, they brought the food out within a reasonable amount of time.

For the meal itself. The french fries had skin on them & of course, seasoning. For the chicken sandwich. The bun for the chicken sandwich was plain. I believe it was a brioche bun. The chicken was a nice size piece. I bit into it. It was seriously chard & heavily seasoned. I was really hungry, so I decided to "pick" at the chicken, as to avoid the chard as much as possible.

All I will say is this, from my (personal) experience from this place. I was sick for 3 days afterward (in both ways). It took me almost 1 week to feel better.

When we arrived at East Troy House we were promptly seated but warned that they were short staffed and to expect delays. As we looked around the room was full but nobody seemed to be impatient or unserved.

We were immediately visit by our waitress who took our drink and appetizer. We got the General Tso cauliflower and a bowl of chowder. The general tso was definitely unique and a good delivery on what they were trying to do but I don’t think I’d order it again 3.5/5 . The clam chowder was exceptional and a huge portion. The chowder was the perfect creaminess with a very hardy portion of clam 5/5

The wife ordered the fish fry with potato pancakes and I ordered a Burger with fries. My wife’s fish fry was excellent. Light, crispy and flaky breading and nice portion 5/5. The potato pancakes were good but not great 3/5. My burger was good but not great. It had all the elements but was missing the sear on the meat to give it that pop. As is, burger was 3/5 - again cooked perfectly and had a good bun but without the sear it was forgettable.

The service was absolutely exceptional 5/5. Bathrooms were clean 5/5.

I’d give them a 4.5 if I could but can’t so...

Mel was an A+++++ server. Super attentive, funny, personable, totally on her game. They had the Packer game on 💚💛 and made sure it was on a TV in view from your seat. Very accomdating, even down to a request for tarter sauce for my fries, which is typically only available for the fish fry. Our favorite appetizers is the Buffalo cheese curds, which is always a must have. I had the chicken sandwich, think its the not just chicken and he had the cheese melt special. We cleared our plates! Make sure you visit Zions next door. I got a wool cleaner; needless to say I was ecstatic to get home and clean my radiators with it. Such a cute little shop, so many things to look at for all audiences. Plus we love visiting the square and hitting a few of the establishments, as well as wonder around and be the first to find and ET rock, then to rehide. A favorite and most fun filled...
