After a 20 minute wait became a 40 minute we didn’t know the fun had only just begun for the night. We were guided to a high top set of chairs and my friend had requested a baby seat for their toddler. After a half faked attempt to attach the baby seat she fumbled around, looked at my friend holding her baby and said, “I’m not a mom so I don’t know how to do these things.” and the blonde hostess walked away. The other hostess, who was also standing there, just awkwardly watched as multiple of us fumbled to get the seat on. After the manager came over and tried, it became known to all that the seat wasn’t meant for those particular chairs. You’d think they’d already know that. Rolling his eyes he told us we’d have to wait longer. So we were kind and we did. 10 minutes later we were seated at a cozy but prepared dinner table. No worries to us, we were hungry and wanted to begin our evening. No sooner had we placed our bottoms on the chairs a hyper waitress came up to us and said, “ACTUALLY! We’re gunna move you guys to this ‘private’ room over here so you have more room.” We told her we were fine but she wasn’t taking no for an answer- we found out later they had given THAT table to another group they forgot about.
We followed the waitress into a room (I kid you not) that was NOT even set up for dining. It was like the makeshift room for spare tables and chairs!! She walked in and realized nothing was set up, so she started moving tables around, cleaning the crumbs off and trying to set up the table for us As she was doing this she was telling us the specials for the evening. We stood with our bags and purses oddly standing there while she breathlessly tried moving the tables and telling us the specials at the same time. When she finally struggled through getting the tables ready we went to sit and she immediately said, “So, what will you be ordering?!” We tried not to laugh at how ridiculous it all was but I spoke up and said, “Yah, we literally just sat down.” Three out of the six dresses she gave us were dirty to which she replied, “Our dishwasher is terrible.”
Food was fine. Flatbreads were burnt. Cheese curds and Queso dip were delicious. My burger was average for $13 and but over all we were just happy to see eachother while laughing at the fact that since they messed up we were now placed in a scattered backroom and were told it was “VIP.”
The evening went fine that except of course that they charged over $200 to my credit card. The entire bill. Instead of apologizing she came back in a peppy voice and said “We charged it all to your account but we’re fixing that now. You should see that money back in your account soon.” Then she walked away and we all collectively went, “We’re never coming back here.”
No remedies were made for their forgetfulness when we checked in at the hostess stand as 6 adults and toddler. No remedies except more mistakes. The food isn’t that good to deal with the silliness of the whole situation. Staff needs better training, hostesses need better composure and professionalism, and the continual signs and shrugs trying to get that baby seat on were ridiculous. Get....
Read moreGreat food and drinks, terrible service. Came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday with our family (8 adults 21+ and one infant). We made reservations several days ahead of time. When we arrived we were told a large group was taking a while and had been sitting for over 2 hours and that we would have to wait….what is the point of making a reservation, why not offer that group drinks to move and seat us?! 30minutes later we were offered to sit in the back room. Once seated by ourselves in the back room we ordered food and drinks. Food came and was delicious, drinks never did. We had to order off of QR code with no waiter for service due to being in the back room. Turns out the drinks orders went to the back bar computer which was not staffed or checked. Halfway through eating our food they came out with drinks and comped a few beers and our two appetizers. Heat was turned off and zero attempt was made to check in on us and improve our experience. They apologized once, and then repeated to not check and serve us additional drinks (it continued to go to the back bar register which was unmanned and unchecked). I had to ask them to bring my pregnant wife water and take off my last beer as we were finished eating and ready to leave. Food and drinks were good, service was terrible. The only one that went out of there way to check on us was the bus boy who finally brought my wife water (he was great!). Overall, as my first experience at this brewery, I would not come back based solely on the service.
Edit: spoke to management as we were about to leave about the situation and was offered a full refund based on our experience. The two hostesses tried to prevent me from talking to the manager about this experience. Manager rectified the situation with a full bill refund and stated that there was no excuses for our poor experience. Kaylee (I believe is the managers name) was very pleasant. I explained our situation and that if they want repeat business, that this is not how you treat customers. She stated business is short staffed and that was a factor. I understand that this is more widespread due to Covid, a simple communication about this would have had us more understanding (this is a reason why we place reservations ahead of time). Given they lack of a table and no drinks, you would have thought they would have made the effort to be more attentive to our group to improve our experience. However, they did not
Edit 2: manager came again and offered us tow free growlers and a birthday cookie for my sister. I have adjusted review to three stars from two. Again, she tried to rectify the situation once made aware. We never ask for free food/drinks, and prefer good service/food to begin with. I would return for the food and beer. I really hope this is a one off bad experience that others won’t endure. The manager’s positive attitude and pleasant demeanor is the only reason why I would come back here after the service (or lack thereof) that we...
Read moreIf you want a place to eat with better service, go to McDonalds. Unlike 99% of all restaurants with their prices, they don’t have proper waiters and you have to order at the counter. This would be fine considering places are understaffed, but where it goes wrong is when they don’t tell you this, even after seating you they expect you to figure it out yourself if you happened to miss the sign that according to other reviews is posted somewhere.
In my family’s experience: After sitting for a good 10 minutes some of us (my father & me) go up to the counter, and after asking about it the employees are ticked off and say we should have known the process to order. After informing the rest of us about the issue, we return to the counter to order food but after standing there for several minutes the employees did not take our order. Instead after looking at us they simply stood there and talked amongst themselves snickering like teenage high schoolers gossiping (probably because they are), simply talking the talk. We just walked out after that and got better service at a restaurant half as nice.
Honestly this place has a nice atmosphere and its kept quite clean and after reading this review you’ll be aware of the process and might actually get a decent experience. But my family did not get that unfortunately. I really hope that this was a fluke and perhaps those few employees won’t be around much longer.
Edit: There’s also the whole thing about grabbing your own utensils and what not that Ive seen mentioned in other reviews (and seemed to tick my dad off) which Im guessing is covid protocol. But if you’re expecting service standard at a restaurant at this place’s prices (even with covid), again, don’t come here. As there are tons of places that do the bare minimum of handing out forks and taking orders at the table. Perhaps this place should stick to serving beer, because that seems to be the only thing they put...
