Ay Tone, you’re not gonna believe this.
So we’re up in Pennsylvania, takin’ care of that thing, right? Worked up an appetite and ended up at this place on the South Side of Easton. Pino’s Pizzeria, right in the old C-Town Shopping Center. Remember where Laneco used to run the show? Before the suits turned it into a ghost town? Like walkin’ into a dream. Back to the glory days.
Me and Syl, we roll in, and Pino gives us that nod, like we’re the last of the Mohicans. You know back when disloyalty got you thrown off a cliff, not just unfriended on the Facebook. The dough master himself, spinning Neapolitan pies so good they’d make the saints weep.
So anyway, there's this old guy, he’s sitting in a booth. Crocifisso Caruso. What a name, huh? Straight from the old country. He's parked there like he's the don of the joint, keeping an eagle eye on everything, making sure his crew are doin’ things RIGHT, the Crocifisso way. You know what I mean? This one guy walks in, pants sagging, and the old man lays down the law in that thick Sicilian accent, tells him to hike 'em up. Just like that. The kid snaps to. No fuss. And Crocifisso, he’s lookin’ sharp, wearin’ this fancy sweater that’d make Richie Aprile look like he shops at the lost and found. It’s clear who’s the capo in this kitchen.
I’m telling you, Tone, this pizza parlor’s the real deal. A slice of Sicily. Tough as nails. The kind of spot that reminds you of when a handshake meant something. These kids today, they don't know the first thing about RESPECT.
And the penne alla vodka? Forget about it. It’s top of the line. So good, I’d bet my pinky ring on it. Trust me, it’s like a taste of the good old days, served...
Read morePinots pizzeria is the absolute best pizza you can get in Easton! Yes it’s tucked up in the corner of South Side Easton, but it’s worth the trip no matter where you’re coming from. They’re pizza is the kind that you crave when you’re hungry for a pie. Every single slice I’ve had from there has been perfectly seasoned, they use excellent tasting, high-quality cheese, delicious not too thick crust… sauce has just the right amount of saltiness. None of that sweet sauce stuff! I can’t rave enough about the quality of food and service at this place! The owners, managers, and staff are all such friendly warm and kind-hearted people. I’ve had everything from pies to garlic knots to sandwiches cold and hot, and chicken Parmesan. You cannot go wrong! But truly, half of the fun of going into Pino’s is the brief but always smile-worthy interactions with the gentlemen that run the place. They always put a smile on my face, and they sure can make a pie! For traditional, PIZZA freakin’ pizza, this is where you want to eat! Order a pie, you...
Read moreI’ve been ordering food from Pinos, and the first thing I have to say the quality of the food has changed dramatically. Before I could say that their chicken franchese was amazing, but now is a very horrible tough piece of meat. So rubbery and the flavor doesn’t even come close to the chicken franchese. Second thing, the inconsistencies in the prices is unbelievable, nobody gives you the same price for the same order, definitely they are putting their own price, whatever they feel like it on that day, and when you confront them about it, what they say is, that the price of the menu is old and that, there’s a price update. Which keeps changing very frequently for their advantage. Also poor customer service, there’s very rude cashiers, and an old lady that takes orders, places the wrong order, charges you extra, all the time and has an attitude when you go to pick up order. I had to stop getting food from here to avoid getting in arguments all the time about the different...
