I visited to pick up a door dash order twice at this location. The first time, the lady behind the bar was rude and told me that I had to sit down because it was illegal to stand in the restaurant. Not only does that sound like complete BS but I was well over six feet away from anyone and I was wearing my mask.i am very upset that it seemed like she just made that up because she didn't like me standing in the bar. For what reason I still do not understand. Now, I was willing to let that one go because sometimes people just have a bad day. However, I went back in today to pick up another door dash delivery and I was treated just as badly by a different employee. I am always very kind and respectful to everyone and I expect the same in return. Wish door dash I spent every waking moment of my day in and out of stores, bars and restaurants. I do the best I can do treat people with kindness and I expect the same in return and it upsets me very much. I will go out of my way not to take orders at this establishment anymore simply because of the two ladies who have no idea how to provide exceptional and expected good customer service. I am hurt, frustrated and upset that I go out of my way to make sure that this establishment can get their food delivered so they can make their money and this is the thank you I get for doing them a favor. I am extremely done with this establishment and I will not even go back there for any reason. No to deliver and certainly not to eat. People who are unable to treat others with respect do not deserve my business. This place needs a new level of education on the proper way to treat people especially those of us who go out of our way to make sure THEIR customers received their orders in a timely fashion. This was unacceptable and extremely disappointing. I hope that management makes since changes in their staff because those place could function much better without rude employees with a computer lack of respect for others. Updated 1/11/2024 - The owners of Porter Pub corresponded over email, taking this review very seriously. The feedback was used to execute some "process improvement" at the restaurant. I am glad this turned into something positive ;) - We are invited to return and we will. Thanks again to the owners.

Sorry, but the worst experience we've had in a long time. Here's why. We were greeted promptly and asked if we had a reservation. No, we did not, but asked if we could be done at 6:30. A reservation after us needed the table. We said no problem. We'd be done by 630 due to a show in town. This was 5:30. We sat down, waited about 15 min before drink order was taken. We had to ask for our dinner order to be taken. We are now approaching 6 PM. Dinner order taken. 6:15 we asked where dinner was. Trying to be done to accommodate the reservation behind us and to make the show in time. 630 dinner was not there. Asked again where dinner was and server said it was coming. We said we had to leave. Our dinner was offered to be put in a box. Going to the show, this wouldn't work. We canceled dinner, paid for three drinks after sitting for over an hour, and had no dinner. All we ordered was a salad, cheesesteak and burger. What was going on in the kitchen? What ever happened to the 630 reservation behind us? Not a good...

I didn't expect much from Porters, thought it was another dive bar. With everything else closed in the area I figured I'd give it a shot after we drove by it accidently and saw a band playing in their outdoor tent.

Well we walked up the gravel path into their tent and it had to be the most well put together structure. It had atmosphere and plenty of heaters to get through these cold months.

Now the food..

When I say I came in fully expecting to not like it because this restaurant choice was an accident as we had nowhere else to go. My GF and I both had the sangria and were pleasantly surprised it was really good. I ordered the steak and it came with soup. Ordered it with the most delicious sausage and black bean soup (can't remember the real name) I've ever tasted. The steak came and it was so good. Ordered it medium, it had some fat but even the fat melted like butter in the mouth so damn good! GF ordered the bacon wrapped chicken which is hands down the best chicken I've ever tasted so juice with a hint of smoked bacon.

Highly recommend this place. Don't let it fool you like it did me. The outdoor section was a brilliant choice and should've been a structure since day one the live band was great and just added to the overall ascetic. Hands down the best spot...
