Tierra De Fuego — Restaurant in Easton

We came to this restaurant yesterday, 7/21/19, because my husband's friend recommended it. What a disappointment! It was 98 degrees outside and when we walked in the restaurant you could barely feel the AC. I really liked their decoration but their furniture and music were just horrible. I decided to seat up against the wall where they have that nice chalk drawing. My sit was the looong bench they have against that wall. A man came in carrying vegetables and he stumbled upon the bench and of course I jumpled all over.. terrible sit! The server, a young lady, came to our table and straight away told us they did not have any arepas or juices because someone had left their fridge open last night. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? A colombian place without juices and arepas? but ok.. it was some distracted employee who did this. We still decided to give the place a chance. I ordered the mini bandeja paisa and my husband ordered the grilled chicken. While we were waiting, there was a man sitting in a stool at the area that, I guess, you can call a bar. Then an old lady came out from the kitchen and sat next to the man. They were loud!! and her pants were soo below her waist that I could totally see her butt crack. Not the nicest view when you are about to have lunch. I ordered a vegan empanada and when it came it was delicious but I should say the center of it was a little bit cold.. you can tell it had been frozen and they did not cook it well but it was good, though. They did not give me a sauce with it and I did not ask for it because I only realized later on they were supposed to give me one. My husband loved his chicken but I did not like that bandeja paisa AT ALL!!! the beans had no flavor and the pork was just... greasy and not crunchy.. the presentation of the bandeja paisa was cute and all but the flavor man.. the flavor!!!! No avocado with it.. no arepa, of course.. it was just a mess. I don't even drink soda but because they had no juice I had to drink coca cola.. I had ordered a water but I ended up leaving it on the table unopened. but they still charged for it. I am not coming back to this place.. Horrible service and TERRIBLE FOOD!!!! Stay away.. We should have gone to cuquita in Bethlehem but I wanted to give this place a try ... I want my money...

We had a wonderful night at Tierra De Fuego last Saturday at an event for my daughter, her friends and their families in celebration of their college graduation. We worked with Manuel on planning the event and the menu, and he was just great. He was super helpful, enthusiastic and accommodating, and clearly wanted the event to be perfect. We settled on a fixed price meal with several entrée options the guests could choose from (chicken, beef, fish or vegetarian), along with three appetizers, salad and dessert. The price was very reasonable, especially considering that he closed the restaurant to other customers. Manuel also helped to arrange for music (Jesse, who was awesome), which made the night even more festive. He also offered to arrange for decorations, which we opted not to do (the restaurant looked great as is). The food was delicious, the portions were extremely generous and the staff was great. The restaurant is BYOB, so we brought wine and beer ahead of time. Manuel brought coolers in and ice for the cold drinks, and he even acted as bartender. Manuel was also very attuned to the flow of the event, checking in with me periodically. He didn't rush the food, allowing us to mingle for the first half hour while serving appetizers, and he timed the rest of the courses just right. So first I have a family of four and we each order our drinks and food they took 20 mins just for our drinks then three out of the four dish came never got my dish which was steak then the meat on the bandeja paisa was over cooked and smelled expired when we brought all of this to the waiter, he took off my steak off the bill but then we had asked if the steak on the bandeja paisa could either be made again or taken off the bill he said to wait he brought his manager over she had the worst attitude ever with my family even though we are paying customers and we were not asking for much she said that she would make the meat again but she took for ever and my family had somewhere to be so we ask for the check then they didn’t even bring the original check and for some reason started to charge us already for tips, even though that’s not the original check then the manager even a bigger fuss and with her horrible attitude just wanted to leave once we did she made a big scandal as we...
