The food is always average the service from the servers are alway over the top alway have had a great experience with them. The owner on the other hand is absolutely awful and rude. The way she spoke to me as a paying customer was horrifying. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich and ask for extra pesto sauce and offered to pay for it and the owner said no it’s to labor intensive to make. She also said that I could have the pesto Mayo that just has a drop of pesto sauce in it. I said yeah that is extremely what I want but I want more of just the pesto to mix in it because I am not crazy about Mayo so I like It with lots of pesto. Every single time I have been here for lunch I have ordered the same sandwich and asked for a side of the pesto Mayo and a side of pesto so I can mix it myself and every time I have got it. But this time the owner says that they don’t have pesto by itself. Hmmm 🤔 more like she just didn’t want to give it to me. If I knew when I ordered it that I was not going to get it I would have got something else entirely because without it all I tasted was Mayo and the chicken was dry as can be which is normal but the pesto sauce makes it 100 x better. The server said she had it and the owner told her no she couldn’t give it to us. The the owner said that she is just a server and she didn’t know what she was talking about and the she is the owner and she says no. First of all if a customer wants something and is willing to pay for extra sauce then you give it to them. You don’t speak down to a customer who is supporting your business. The only way I will ever go back there is if I know she is not there. My bill was over $60 for lunch for 2 people before we tipped and we didn’t even eat anything but the fries because we were wanting that extra sauce. So we took it all togo and I will make my own pesto sauce and we will eat it for dinner. I will not be back because of the owner. She has lost my business and I will spread the word to my friends and family. If you do not want to give someone extra sauce then take it off...
Read moreThis may be a lengthy review. Starting with the good stuff... the service was excellent. Our waitress was busy but never kept us waiting. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. There were three of us eating, celebrating my SILs 73rd birthday. She had Filet Tips. She said the sauce and potatoes were wonderful, but the Filet Tips were actually pretty tough. A filet should never be tough. My spouse's meal of scallops was good, but his dessert, Creme Brulee, was actually burnt across the top. I ordered what was supposed to be a House Specialty, the Creamy Seafood Risotto. It was actually crunchy....undercooked. Not just al dente but crunchy. And to end it all, I had the Chocolate Cobbler. It's kind of a very crunchy warm brownie under ice cream and a mound of whipped cream. At first, although odd, I was enjoying it. However, I ended up with a golf ball size hunk of whatever it was, in the bottom. It was as hard as a golf ball!! I literally could not break it apart. I don't mind spending money on good food. This whole meal was well below par. Lastly, there was a woman working there who appeared to be helping out with everything. I'm not sure what her title is. She would probably be considered middle-aged, but that's not really the issue. She was wearing a VERY short skort type article of clothing. Usually, skorts have a reasonable length of shorts underneath. When this woman walked, the skort just barely covered her butt. When she was serving food and bent over a bit, you saw very short, almost panty style shorts underneath. It was totally inappropriate for the job and the particular restaurant. The Filet has always been a favorite of ours. Tonight was a...
Read moreUpon arrival, the waiter @ the door entrance barely greeted us (black). She seemed to be waiting on an elderly lady (white) who was walking from the rear of the restaurant. We requested a booth near the entrance and were told to wait. The elderly lady finally made her way to the front of the restaurant and sat in a booth near the entrance - no issue. When we asked could we sit in the booth next to hers, the response was "sorry, we have no waiters to service the area." Bizarre bc who was going to service this woman? We were seated @ the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. The table was very shaky and not sturdy that, so we requested another waiter who was passing by, to move. She moved us - still in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen.
No one really greeted us nor was friendly. No pleasant smiles, barely made eye contact. However, EVERY white customer was waited on attentively. The lady who took our order, was ok - not sure if she cared for black ppl or was just "doing her job." She brought our food, answered questions, never did really check on us though.
The food was ok - honestly it is "just another pretty steak" bc I've had better for the price. The salmon entree was ok as well. Mashed potatoes looked like boxed potatoes.
Overall: racist energy and would not go back again. 10/10, DO NOT RECOMMEND if you aren't...
