I been coming to this theater since I move to GA in ' 08 not until today have experience such racism in my life . here I am standing in line with my son there's a white man in front of me , another white man try to jump the line and the clerk ( a white man) tell the man that he has to go to the end of the line. As the line move I was next to be served and a white woman jumps the line the man that was in front of me now at the register told the woman she has to go to the back of the line she didn't once the man purchased his tickets and left she stayed and the clerk served her I told the clerk she skipped the line and he ignored me , she turned to me and rolled her eyes. I truly enjoy coming to this theater with my son because it clean and well taken care of but I do not want to have myself or my son faced with such racist people. I paid my money and stood on the line just like everyone else so why is it that once it was my turn to be served ( a black man) I get skipped, felt totally disrespected as if I was less than . 2nd there should be sort of structure/ organization to where people know where the line starts and your clerks should treat each and every person as equal. No matter the race , gender or age. People just walk in going to the shortest line when everyone entering should be directed to the end of the line so no one feels less than or disrespected. Something should be...
Read moreI was at the theater yesterday. It does need a face uplift, but that didn't bother me too much. I've been a regular customer for over 15 years. But, yesterday there were a couple of things that really were neglected. The air-conditioning was off in theater #6, a gentleman went and asked for it to be turned on, which it was for an hour or so and then it was turned off again way before the movie was over. I was fanning myself with my movie ticket to try & cool off. That was unacceptable. When the movie was over, I headed to the restroom, you could smell urine way before you got close to it. This was horrible. I have never in the 15 years I have attended this theater seen this type of negligence. It was very sad and unexpected. I Don know of they have new owners or poor leadership. I pray it was a one day issue. If not, I will drive to Watkinsville to begun seeing...
Read moreI will always drive the extra 30-40 minutes to Parkside 8 than go to the AMC 5 minutes away. Parkside shows more films, is cleaner (including bathrooms), better organized, has better seats, is bigger in general (including bathroom), parking lot is well lit and safe, always has the right amount of workers working so you’re never waiting long (not to mention they’re kinda and helpful), better selections than the AMC by my house. OH, and it’s cheaper than AMC. If you live in Baldwin, Greene, or Putnam Counties this should be your main theatre. This place is a palace compared to Milledgeville AMC. Trust me, I’m there at Parkside almost every weekend.
I wish there staff was more diverse. Then again, I don’t think Greene and Putnam counties are exactly booming with minorities. And all the current employees have always been...
