Shades of a middle school cafeteria. Or maybe prison food?
Drab, boring salad with browned edges, off-brand beige powdered parmesan mostly made of filler, soggy, stale, off-tasting croutons, and sub-par dressing... and that was the highlight of this "meal".
The spaghetti was about what you'd expect out of a can. Huge thick noddles, totally soggy and overcooked, flavorless, not even a trace of salt in the water (if they even boiled it themselves). It had barely any sauce at all, just a little puddle of vaguely tomato-flavored water at the bottom. Not to mention, we ordered spaghetti with meatballs, but got no meatbals, or... meat, from what we could find.
Ravioli pasta was something like 1/4" thick, clearly frozen, and not even the proper texture for pasta dough, again more like what you'd expect to find in a can. It was also the oddest sort of... mustard yellow in color, which is baffling. The filling was cold and bland, basically just plain ricotta. It also had almost no sauce, and the sauce there was was almost pure water at the bottom. The ravioli weren't even intact, most of them cut open from where I presume they dug it out of some nasty reheat tray, and about 30% not even complete, just halves and bits.
Breadsticks were stiff and unremarkable, with a godawful Ranch dressing that tasted like it was full of preservatives, probably off-brand.
Stromboli's cheese wasn't even melted, onions were raw, fillings were cold, yet it was somehow dripping with grease and burned on the bottom...
I wish I could say this meal was forgettable, but sadly it'll stick around my memory for a while, in a very bad way. There was not even a single redeeming trait.
Save yourself some grief. Go to a drive-thru Italian place. Or... buy some Chef-Boyardee spaghetti or ravioli in a can. It's...
Read moreMy son and I were driving by and decided to stop for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how very good the quality of the food was. I will give you an honest and fair critique of our visit. The flavors were fresh and clean! The stromboli was actually cooked all the way through, something I thought was impossible for both strombolli and calzones! It did not have that wet, raw doughy inside typical of a stromboli nor was it overdone with that super hard, dry crusty outside robbed of all flavor. It was honestly a nice thin outside crust cooked to perfection inside and out with plenty of stuffing inside. The pasta was a perfect sized serving with a ample amount of sauce. A side note: I have some pretty strong convictions about ready made pasta and my experience would lead me to not order it because I personally prefer my pasta to be firm, cooked Al dente. I took a chance anyway wondering if this was a bad idea and ordered the baked ziti, it was a little more soft than my personal liking but it was not cooked to mushy soft. Surprisingly I would actually order it again. My son is a quiet man but he mentioned this place and how surprisingly good it was 4-5 times through out the rest of our day. The food was good, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. Highly recommend giving this...
Read moreI only ever used to get slices here. Would have maybe given 3.5 stars. Rarely do you get a fresh slice, sometimes they are burnt and crunchy, and over 10 bucks if you want 2 slices.
I ordered a whole pie for the first time, only about 15 bucks for a 16". I got extra cheese on it and it was SO good. Probably my new favorite pizza now that I know to order fresh.
The store is underwhelming, they never have ice in the soda machine unless. You can ask for some at the counter. The menu I've seen online doesn't even mention they have 16" pies. So definitely not the most professional place.
I just give them 5 stars for how food their fresh pizza is. I think it's the cheese I really love. And the crust is not too doughy, and not too crisp.
I look forward to trying other menu...
