Modicum Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Eau Claire

The real Brewing Project in Eau Claire... Nevermind the misspelled one. This place is making excellent refined flavors/varieties of beer and has a beautiful interior to boot. Did I mention that the beer is good? Really really good!

Oh and snacks from local shops like Rump's meat market in Altoona too.

UPDATE: I can't agree with the dog friendly atmosphere INSIDE this place... I don't hate dogs, but come on people, this just shouldn't mix. I never have a problem when it's outside at a place, such as a patio, but not inside.

Also, there was a patron that had a dog that didn't like another's dog... This was lame. Needless to say it pretty much ruined my beer experience.

Also, it seems that the dog takes up the space of at least one person, why would you let valuable bar space be taken up this way?

Mike and Eric have created an incredible and unique drinking experience. The atmosphere is one of a comfortable friendly local pub, and the beer is full of flavor due to the awesome brewing skills of Eric, the Brewmaster. I thought I might not appreciate that customers are able to bring in their four legged friends, but I found it actually added to the ambiance of the space. For folks of my generation you'll understand when I say that Modicum reminds me of Cheers, but with sophistication, and excellent beer. If you enjoy finely crafted beer in a comfortable space, you owe it to yourself to stop in to Modicum for a fresh pour, and then you owe it to your friends to grab a 4 pack of cans on...

Modicum Brewing between Eau Claire and Altoona is an awesome little brewery. Erik, the Brewer, and his beer tenders are great. On my stop they had 11 beers on tap. They had a Helles lager, Amber, mild pale, barrel aged strong, Stout, Belgian blonde, Scottish, American Pils, IPA, raspberry sour, and a Keller bier. I enjoyed all of them. On Fridays they do a milk beer pour if your there at the right time. The place has a cabin atmosphere with a little industrial mixed in.
