I love their food so much, and the hospitality is great! I actually know the owner, but I don't know if he remembers me. When I was little my foster parents knew the Kwans and we would have dinner there at least twice a month, in the original restaurant in Minneapolis. But as time went on and I'm assuming because they got busy and bigger, they moved here to Eden Prairie and renamed it, Red Moon when it was Kwans.
Hands down, you have to try the Moo Shu Pork; you get a yummy veggie medley with pork and succulent spices, with white rice, hoisen sauce, and thin pancakes. Just add a little rice to the pancake, top with the Moo Shu Pork, some hoisen sauce, carefully wrap it up and take a big ole bite, it is so good, my mouth is watering as I type. You also have to try their fried dumplings, they're not thick on the dough and it has the right amount of meat, such a great balance, it's highly yummy!!! I swear, they make all that food with love, because it's always delicious!!
I go there as often as possible, because I love Chinese Food and I love "their" Moo Shu Pork, they're the only ones in the city that make it the way it should taste. I've had other versions of it from other restaurants and the only other one that even comes remotely close, is off Snelling and University in St. Paul.

Read moreGreat lunch specials! This is one of our new favorite lunch spots in Eden Prairie - and at $13, the lunch specials are a generous bargain. You get your choice of Asian entrée (there are several to choose from), fried or steamed rice and an egg roll or cream cheese wontons.
I’ve had the Thai basil chicken and the red curry chicken, and they’ve both been solid choices. The curry was nice and milky, with just the right amount of heat at the “slightly spicy” setting. The veggies are tender-crisp (not mushy), and the sauce adds heft without getting all goopy.
The Vietnamese-style egg rolls are small and tightly wrapped, served with a mild fish sauce. They were a bit on the greasy side, but still crunchy and tasty.
Hidden away in a generic strip mall near Eden Prairie Center, the restaurant is small and cozy, with white linen tables and huge windows that let in lots of sunlight.
Unused steam tables occupying the back of the room give it a bit of a storage-room feel. But our server was quite friendly and attentive, so we sat down and soon felt right at home. We’ll...
Read moreI LOVE LOVE LOVE RED MOON!! The food is absolutely delicious. I recommended this restaurant to my sister and nephew and they didnt like it at all but I've taken about 15 different people here for lunch and everyone else agreed its delicious so my sister is probably crazy haha. I'm a repeat customer. Love their wontons & noodles. Love their chow mein. Good, tasty, stuff. Try it!! I can't comprehend how someone could dislike the food here. The waitresses are nice as well. They always come and talk to my mom and I and we have friendly chats. The chef is an elderly Chinese guy who can be kind of grumpy if you put too much in your takeout box but other than that even he's come and talked to us and asked how we enjoyed the food. I love Red Moon. I'm moving out of state soon and will surely...
