Not a rant serious issue, long time bar server and bartender too comfortable side stepping me several times( not full attention) french onion soups underprnounced onions too soft and off color( yesterdays soup maybe a 3rd or 4th reheat?) I asked for a 145 to 155 burger it came out 180 plus. The bacon ws dropped into the deep fryer for 1 to 2 seconds as it came to my table i noticed the bacon covered in fryer oil.oated in fryer oil the server asked if i wanted new bacon and seemed to not care that I mentioned that they dropped the bacon in the deep fat fryer like he thought i dont know what im talking about OR yeah and? Like its a normal practice..so i showed him and showed him all the exgra greese coating the bacon, hand made fries were ok and crispy just under seasoned as hell.. i . Saw the cook or chef on the line touch his face and mouth several times then the manager i explained this doecomes over and i explain the soup the bacon and bartender also the host and server were talking spanish about how a busser last night didnt want to assist certain ppl complaining about ut, i spoke up and said some times customers speak spanihs in spanihs they they stopped discussing resturant drama openly at the host stand. As i was finishing ny over salty under penounced soyo and 1 to 2 bites only of my extra season on request hockey puck the manaher natalie stopped by lostened to me whilt side stepping me said she would try the french 9nion soup right away. They i noticed a busser setting a table and the rolled silver wear that several people have touched inside and out takes them from inside the water cups ppl are going to srink out of and whnt to ask the server if they was just the workers way or the standard of resetting a table. He said its justt him then when i looked around i saw 60 or so water glasses with rolled silver wear INSIDE the watere cup. I went to tell a mamager with an ear piece in this ear sitting at a table with several water glasses with rolled silver wear inside. I assured him thats not sanitary and he says we wear gloves when we roll silver wear when i saw ppl not wearing gloves touch the wrapped silver wear and put them directly inside the water cup.i mentioned how servers and bussers u and me even use our cells on the toilet and ppl use them between rolli g silver and definatly between putting rolled silver inside water cups. The manager said he appreciated my comcer while sitting at a table with 6 glasses all with rolled silverwear inside. I daid your not appreciative. I then asked the manager natalie if she trued the french onion soup oile she said she would try righr away and she said no she didnt and j said i wanted to bring my wife back here for out 10 year anniversary where i asked her to be my fiance ten years ago. I guess we wont be going here. Also i called the copperate office and ratted them out and they said what do i want to happen. They said they said they would have the resturants GM call me and i replied. Um the GM is the one who i was talking to at the table he wont call me and will just lie. Then i got no call. I called back left another message and still no reply back. Dire strights. Ppl going to get sick violating basic standards of service cross contaminating water glasses of all things is a suoer no no. This pracice has a potential to grt 100 % of people who drink from...
Read moreI apparently came on the wrong night given the reviews. Let's start from the top...we arrive, walk up to the hostess stand, and are shushed by the hostess because she was speaking with someone else. We didn't know she was as there was no one talking when we approached.
We were seated and it was incredibly crowded. We waited over 15 minutes before a server even said hello to us. There was no apology for the wait, just arrived, said hello, and informed us that the special was no longer available. It was 6pm, I am not sure how it was gone so quickly but that is incredibly minor compared to the rest of the experience.
We order drinks and waiting almost 20 minutes before they arrive. We were just about to get up and ask someone. Again, no apology for the wait. We ordered our food and that transaction was exactly what I would expect from an upscale restaurant.
We ordered more drinks, again, we waited over 15 minutes. The table next to us was so close that the person behind us kept constantly knocking their chair into ours. Our appetizers arrive. I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail. The elimination vein was still in it. When I stopped a waiter to show him, he said it must be a spice. I explained that it couldn't be as I cut the shrimp in half and this was in the middle. I was given a quick sorry and then he moved to the table behind us.
Another gentleman approached the table to refill water. He filled ours and turned around (yes literally that close together) and pour the other tables water. However, he poured it fast and water and ice went inside my shoe. He said "sorry" and walked away. Now I'm not asking for anything over the top but I've eaten at less expensive restaurants that would have stopped what they were doing to remedy the situation. Apparently not here.
We had salad as an appetizer. The dirty plates piled up and our food was being served as the dishes sat there. The waitress goes to move them and drops the salad tongs which rolled down my mother in law's back. Again, met with sorry and a quick walk away. The tongs were covered in dressing and absolutely spilled on her clothes.
My fiance ordered prime rib. Apparently they were out of the size he wanted so they just downgraded him. No questions or if he would like to change his order, it just was what it was.
I would have loved one more drink but that wasn't an option. The waitress arrived with our bill without asking anything.
I understand how hard of a job serving is and truly understand if this was just an off night. What I witnessed was over worked, under staffed, and over crowded dinning area with food that was mediocre at best.
I have had Wildfire before in other cities and always had a wonderful experience. Maybe because this one is attached to a mall it doesn't have as high of standards? Either way, we will save our Wildfire trips for other cities. We will never return to the one in...
Read moreOverall, I liked the food at Wildfire. Everything tasted good and came out in a reasonable amount of time. They were able to accommodate difficult food allergies as well, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3. I did take issue with few things that are part of a dining out experience, and I don't know if I'll be back because of them.
The first thing I noticed when I came in is how dated the interior is. The dining room is old and looks as if it hasn't been updated since the 90s. While this alone isn't a deal breaker, it did leave me a bit under impressed for what I expected to be a slightly upscale dinner for my Wife and I on our anniversary.
Related to this was my next complaint. While I am generally forgiving of wait staff due to the nature of working for low pay and with generally difficult customers, the service left me disappointed during my dining experience. For the price of the meals, and subsequently the tips that come from that pricing, I would expect high quality servers. The first thing that irked me was that I mentioned several times I was there to celebrate my anniversary with my wife, and the waitress kept mentioning my birthday instead. She offered me a free dessert but not my wife so that was a bit odd. Besides that, I wouldn't say there were any other problems, but I've had better service at a Perkins before.
Lastly, pricing for the meals was on the high end. I knew what to expect going in as I had looked at prices online, and knowing how popular/busy they were I made the mistake of thinking that this equated to quality food. Everything was good, so don't get me wrong, but I have had better steaks for less else where. I didn't try a wide variety of their menu so I can't speak to how the other items are, but my steak struck me as a very generic ordeal.
I would recommend someone consider their options carefully, as many places nearby are a better value, and if you leave Eden Prairie you can find much better steaks not too far away either. Like I said, their handling for food allergies upped my rating here and if that had not been a factor this would have been a 3...
