This is one of the worst services I've seen for a while. To be fair, the food is decent, not authentic but not bad either. The server was friendly enough at the beginning when everything was going well. However, the table next to us and we both ordered an item that had the wrong information printed on the menu. Instead of figuring out the problem, the server tried to shift the responsibility on us stating we did not see part of the description was crossed out. The fact is, the menu both tables read, didn't have those marks so that's why we ordered the item. The second time the server returned, he explained that the ink on the menu was scrubbed off but they had changed the menu. Again, still didn't think from our perspective and provide a solution. As a consequence, both tables describe what happened again. The third time, a guy in charge came to explain and tried to compensate for the inconvenience by offering extra food, which was good enough. And to be clear, I did not ask for any refund and I refused their offer of other dishes since we had been spending precious weekend on the back-n-force for a while already. At the time, I thought the story was coming to an end. But, when I requested the itemized receipt just to make sure we were charged at a fair price, the middle-aged lady in the cashier did the worst move in this entire drama. She said blatantly in my face that they already gave us a 10% discount, what else do I need. If you're in the service industry, being rude to the customer is the worst. It's even worse when none of the tables put on any attitude to any staff. The gentleman and two ladies next table explained themselves calmly and we wasted our time to clarified the issue for you. The restaurant deserve a negative review for how it performed. If the owner got a sense that both table our cheap diners who try to ask for those tiny bucks, there's a problem with the team. There might be someone who can't take responsibility and not telling the truth. Please be more professional in your...

We've eaten here many times and it's always a delight. It's BYOB so sometimes I will bring a bottle of wine and they can put it in an ice bucket. We like to sit on the open balcony with that great view next to the River. Call if you want to sit outside on a warm Fri or Sat evening especially. All the waiters are so very nice and friendly. We usually eat vegetarian, so the veg fried dumplings have the perfect flavor and puffiness. They have good sauteed Chinese broccoli as well as sauteed Chinese eggplant. You should choose the sauce with each dish, ginger/scallion for lighter or black soybean for a saltier tang are both good. Sometimes they put in too much sauce in dishes so just tell the waiter to have the chef use less. I appreciate that they do not use much MSG flavoring at all, because with some Chinese places I leave feeling sleepy with a sore jaw. You can ask for hot chili sauce on the side and each place makes their own.. this one can sometimes sneak up on you. They also have a good Pan Fried Noodle dish, and you can ask them to put in fried tofu in any dish for a small charge. I have had the Sauteed Fish with Veg and that's really nice. The huge Shrimp in Grand Marnier sauce is very good too. Parking is really easy, it's across from Trader Joe's, near UPS. I do love...

My boyfriend and I were going to SOJO so we wanted to grab a bite to eat before. River House was something we stumbled upon and we're so happy we did! From the food, the staff and the view you get of the skyline, everything was amazing. The fried pork dumplings were so good - I could have just ordered 3 orders of them for dinner and had been more than satisfied. We ordered entrees as well, sesame chicken and a spicy beef and a side order of lo mein. I didn't try my boyfriends beef but my chicken was delicious. The staff was so personable and were constantly checking to see if we were happy with everything they served us. Kevin (I'm guessing he's the owner or manager) cracked us up, he was so funny and coming from someone who shuns every opportunity for awkward small talk, Kevin was genuinely a nice person to converse with. Even when we left every staff member took the second to wish us well. I haven't had service that good in a LONG time - it was so refreshing!

Long story short, amazing atmosphere, affordable prices, delicious food, great views. I couldn't think of a single thing to complain about! We don't live locally, but we will definitely be going back.

(Sorry I had no pictures to post - we ate the food so fast we didn't even think to...

This place is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese flavors, it’s definitely worth a visit. We ordered three entrées—one fish and two chicken dishes—along with sides of lo mein and fried rice. Each entrée came with a bowl of white rice, which was a nice touch. The standout dish for me was the Fish Fillet with Ginger, Scallions, and Hot Peppers. The flavors were well-balanced, and the fish was so good I saved it for last. Among the chicken dishes, we tried the Szechuan Style Fried Diced Chicken and the Chicken with Garlic Sauce. The fried chicken was solid, but the garlic sauce dish was a pleasant surprise—something new for us and definitely worth trying. I recommend pairing it with the spicy sauce they provide; it’s flavorful without being too hot. The lo mein tasted fresh, like it had just come out of the wok, and complemented the mains nicely. We also ordered soup dumplings as an appetizer. They were served hot, but didn’t quite meet our expectations—we’ve had better elsewhere. Overall, the food was satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable. Great flavors without breaking the bank.

If you're looking for a good Chinese spot and don't feel like ordering take out, this is the spot. I've been here a couple times so far and it was great each time. They always give free wonton noodles with duck sauce and hot mustard, our favorite. For apps we always start off with the Egg Rolls, Vegetable Dumplings, Hot & Sour Soup, Boneless BBQ Ribs (well done) and Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings. Each time we go we try a different appetizer and everything we get always has been very good. For the main meal we always share everything. Our favorites are Beef Lo Mein, General Tso's Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken. The meat dishes come with a side of white rice. We haven't tried new main dishes but next time we go we will. The staff is friendly and there's never a wait to be seated. If you're looking to eat a casual dinner this is the place. We will be back.

Had the lunch special here which was quite expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Thought I would give it a try hoping the quality would be higher considering the cost. I ordered the beef lo mein lunch special but was told fried rice doesn't come with the meal unlike other places. Was disappointed when I opened up my meal and got a small sized portion of lo mein, half an egg roll, and old goey rice for $13.82. A regular order of beef lo mein here costs $12 w/o tax so I don't see how this is a special. Not to mention my white rice had brown goey parts in it indicating it was sitting around for a long time. I would say save your money and go to China King where the same meal but a larger portion is $6 or Duck King where the food is higher quality and also cheaper. Not coming back here again.
