My family and I were at JUNO in Edgewood on 3-1-25. We arrived in the evening, and already they were busy. Food tasted fine, no problem there. But it did take a while to come out. Total bill was around $60, if I remember correctly.
The issue was the drink service. I had ordered the first two rounds of drinks at the bar because neither of the two waitresses made their way to our table. One of the waitresses, refer to her as waitress A, finally stopped by (I was not able to get her name) only to pick up empty glasses (from the first round), drop off food, and to tell me "Drinks are to be ordered at the bar because we are busy". OK, I was already doing that because of the lack of service. Having to order at the bar is not a heavy lift, that's fine. What is irritating, is being told to order at the bar and watching the waitresses happily visit and serve every other table except ours.
We were paid another visit, waitress A, picked up our plates and empty glasses (from the second round), as she did, I went ahead and asked for one more round. You were able to hear the hesitancy in her voice as she said "Sure". We left after this.
Overall, service was terrible, my wife and I were singled out for whatever reason, not very welcoming, and it was just flat out rude and unprofessional the way the staff handled our table. I am of darker skin tone, most everyone there was definitely lighter than me, and I hate to play the race card, but given my experience, it sure made playing this card feel appropriate. Very unfortunate, being that we are local to Edgewood and were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond visit to this brew pub. They now have a kitchen serving Panini, small bites, and a couple different hot dogs. The beers are very good. I have had the Weizen, brewed in a lovely Belgian style, a Pilsner that has some nice hops in the finish, and a Stout that is satisfying without being a heavy sugar bomb. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, only 2 working a fairly busy Saturday crowd after 4:30 (maybe the wind got to be too much for those at the Celtic festival) and doing it well. Would definitely go here again with friends. The atmosphere is a little bit lacking right now, sort of like drinking in a bar that's set up in what used to be an oil change station, because it used to be an oil change station. They are branching out from their downtown ABQ establishment, some of the servers making the 60 mile round trip to serve in my community. They are adapting quickly and I cut them a lot of slack right now. I see solid 5s in their future. Highly recommended. I only hope ABQ won't overwhelm the place so I have somewhere to socialize and have a beer in comfortable...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJunos Edgewood has always been a great local place to us. However today as I went to the bathroom before leaving I had a man knocking on the bathroom door endlessly to then go on to harassing me yelling at me and my partner to leave immediately along with one of the bar tenders Stacey about not leaving a tip this time. Claiming I rack up tabs (which I always pay) but never tip. I do however regularly tip as someone who works in a industry where tips are my main income I understand the importance! However I also understand wanting to go out with friends and family and not being able to tip every time. Regardless I should not have been harassed after paying my bill by multiple drunk men and the bar lady about leaving immediately because I did not tip this time.
I never have these issues when I go and Amber and Amber Rose are there . They deserve the tips like I always give and always will.
I thought all of the workers were wonderful until tonight where we where harassed! Felt uncomfortable and very unsafe.
Not a fan. Definitely...
