Friendly staff convenient location. The food however was a bit of a let down. The pork fried rice was borderline inedible to me. I am exaggerating a bit their but it was not good and it looks orange like they used food coloring or something to color it? very unnatural. the foo young however was good and so was the gravy. just the rice was "meh" at best The egg roll I got was junk. would not order that again. however the shrimp rolls very fantastic. absolutely top notchs. Golden brown but not burnt nice and fluffy steamy and moist inside great flavor The wonton soup. big let down as well. no pork or scallions to give that wider flavor profile I was used too back east and just tasted "meh" now maybe the horrid hot mustard might be part of this? the hot mustard packs were really yucky. no real flavor very "one dimensional" enough that it took away from the food. SO maybe the food would be better with no mustard or if I brought my own better quality mustard. its that strong an influencer that it could be the issue so I will probably give them another shot and just not use their mustard. but the two big no's from me are the horrible egg rolls and the very "orange" pork fried rice. I mean when I say orange (my favorite color no less) I am not kidding I opened the box and went why the he** is it orange???? so going to leave it at a 3 till I try them again to give them a fair shake. with supply issues (out of duck sauce and soy sauce packets) maybe they just got some nasty mustard they don't normally get? I will give them another shot or just limit to things that are good. Still though the shrimp rolls were absolutely top notch! expensive but top notch. I can easily see ordering 4 or 5 of those and munching them down for a lunch and being quite happy about it :-) Crab rangoons were good crunchy outside creamy inside. not bad. but the dipping sauce weak and thin. she liked them. The fried dumplings she was not thrilled with but they looked and smelled good to me. I think she was just "used" to them being prepared differently. IE steamed them fried a little like back east but these were more crispy (they way I prefer them oddly enough) so a lot of this comes down to comfort and preference. but the egg rolls should not be meager and overcooked? did not taste overcooked but sure looked it and the rice should not be ORANGE it should a nice khaki/tan color. the other things might come down to the mustard and might not be entirely their fault. I have absolutely tasted much much worse chinese takeout and NONE of the food actually tasted "bad". this was no where near that bad. so next time will tell. see if I get a repeat or a rebound.

50 bucks down the drain. The workers were very nice however I'm really disappointed on the food. Our first time and probably our last. We ordered our food to go. And we go home to a huge disappointment. Our order was wrong. We decided to go ahead and eat since we weren't really wanting to drive back . 😩 the rice was hard and old. And the meat on the orange chicken had a horribly funky taste. The Mongolian beef which is one of my favorite dishes. The smell was so bad I had to close the container right back up. Sadly I don't think I'll be going back and I'm hoping the orange chicken doesn't make me sick 🤢🤞

Okay, I will say I was really hesitant to eat here because we live in a tiny town and I hadn't heard much about it since moving here a year ago. Ladies and gents, it was GOOD. I've tried a lot of Chinese food that knocked it out of the park and I am really picky, but China Chef did a really solid job. We all tried a bunch of different foods and all were really great tasting meals. You couldn't beat the price, either. $65 for 4 combination plates, two appetizers and 4 drinks?! Sold. We will definitely be back!

As far as I know this is the only Asian food restaurant in the area, and I'm grateful for being able to pick up some Chinese food in the East Mountains. It's a pretty popular spot for take-out, but I ate inside the other day because most of the other restaurants in Edgewood close earlier than this one, so I figured I'd leave a review.

The service was fine, fast, simple & basic. There was nobody else there because it's not really the most inviting environment for sit down dining. My party and I equated it to eating in an office - the bright florescent lights overhead, lack of decorations or music, and plain furniture sort of made us feel out of place. But it was clean, quiet, and we had plenty of privacy.

The food was really good and served hot & fast. It came out on real plates with actual silverware, which isn't always the case for places that primarily sell takeout. They have a fairly large menu so there's plenty of options for everyone - vegan, vegetarian, and ALL the meats.

We had some crab ragoons, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken which was served with the sauce on the side. Nobody had any complaints! I recommend getting one of their combination options that comes with rice and an egg roll at a lower cost.

It was a tad bit more expensive (maybe it's just post Covid sticker shock) than I would have liked, but you get pretty large portions. We all had leftovers, and there's nothing better than chowing down on some Chinese food later at home! I definitely recommend giving...

Be very careful about using your credit/debit card here!! We’ve been here several time to support a local business although the food is average. Several months back, my husband and I went in to pick up the food order we had called ahead. The gentlemen told us our total and swiped our card. I didn’t look at the receipt until we got back to our car only to find that he had added a tip to our card. My husband went back in and the gentleman said “oh sorry” and gave him a refund for the tip in cash.

Then the other day I look at our card statement and we had a charge from them on May 31st, but hadn’t been in months. I called them to see what happened and she just told me that she doesn’t know what this is about and this never happens so I had to call our bank to dispute it, in turn we had to cancel our card that all of our bills were connected to and reset everything. Later on China Chef called calls me and says that all the orders from March 30th didn’t process until May 31st because their “system was down”. TWO MONTHS LATER. To be honest, I normally wouldn’t have minded, But the lack of empathy was horrible. When I explained everything that we had to go through With the bank and several phone calls I just get a text back saying “sorry about that.”

Needless to say, we won’t be back. It’s not worth the odd charges/customer service- or...
