First off, the food was good, although what my Girlfriend ordered was a bit mayonnaisey and rich, it was still good. Also the sushi chefs who were all too happy to tell me they were actually from China were professional and courteous. Now for the strange parts. The aforementioned flies are there and the staff seem to be ultra sensitive about it as the mere mention of their existence prompted an offer of a fresh glass of wine. Another strange point was our waitress being absolutely dumbfounded by the fact that two sushi rolls and an order of edamame could constitute a meal, absolutely dumbfounded. After voicing her disbelief she then predicted we would be visiting another establishment later for dessert. I was honestly stuffed from the mayoness and filling edamame and couldn't imagine eating again. Now for the truly ugly. When I go to a restaurant, I go there to enjoy a meal with my companion, I am not there to enjoy the companionship of an overbearing waiter. Now, insert the duly aforementioned and "knowledgeable" waiter Josh. This guy, though not even our waiter ruined the whole experience by talking almost the entire time we were there about the origins of Saki and its various forms and bi-products while simultaneously strenuously recommending all of his various favorites to the clientèle. This was made utterly amazing by the fact that I believe he had only one table and could expound that amount of dialog. Would I go again? Probably not, I walked by the new china wok just down the street and noticed they had sushi for half the price, and having eaten their Chinese food before I am sure it's...
Read moreDo not go here. AMA is way better. Its all you can eat but they do not bring the food for an hour. We sat down and it took them 15 minutes for them to take our order. We waited over an hour for our food. I asked multiple times and they said it was coming. When they clearly still haven't started to make the food we left and left $20 for our server for her time. over an hour in the shop and no food or drinks. No one stopped to ask us about anything. All workers had headphone in and were on their personal cell phones. They were waring sweatshirts and basketball shorts and had no customer service training at all. No one told us there would be a wait and no one said anything to us at all even after we stood up to leave and left a $20 for our waitress.
The person we told we were leaving just looked at us and didnt even take the 20$ i just set it on the counter and said we are leaving.
This was by far one of the worst experiences of my life at a restaurant. Please do not go here - they need to hire actual people who can smile and work instead of just stare at their phones and take selfies of themselves while we were trying to speak to anyone about the wait.
We showed us at 6:45 on Friday night. we left at 8:10PM with no food or any service other than our order being taken. If its all you can eat and they will not bring out any food i think they should be shut down. We were looking forward to this all week and were shocked and left feeling horrible...
Read moreService was suuuuuper slow. The server never asked us if we wanted drinks. The place wasn't busy at all. We had edamame, shu mai, and gyoza to start. The edamame was nothing special, but still delicious and freshly steamed. The fried shu mai was super tasty as well. The gyoza were a little underwhelming. They were on the bland side and not warm enough to my liking. I then had the captain crunch and hurricane rolls and my gf had the ramen. My rolls were tasty but small (especially for the price) and they both had cooked elements that were on the colder side, which is fine for sushi. But the real kicker was my gf's ramen had completely uncooked noodles. Like still a solid brick of noodles that had not gotten cooked enough to unbrick themselves. We sent it back and it came out about 5-7min later and this time the noodles were cooked but the egg was overcooked, the larger cut of pork was replace by strips of fatty pork. I had ordered rock shrimp and a fire roll after my gf had sent back the first ramen. about 3-5 minafter she eventually just gave up on the ramen, and i would have too at that point, the rock shrimp came out. It was fresh and delicious. Then we waited 15 min, at least, for the fire roll. The fire roll was good but the spicy tuna(?) had a really offputting texture. This place could easily be a 4 star if the service was better and the food cooked properly and served at...
