Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Edinburg

I was starving, needing nourishment, because I had skipped breakfast. I was in a rush, and very hungry. I needed to eat something right now, and Jack In The Box was the only convenient place to get food at the time. So, I ordered tacos, and it was a greasy, disappointing mess that tasted more like a three day old mystery-meat loco pastry than an actual taco. I could hear my Abuela's voice whispering in my ear, "Don't eat this thing, please don't do it, Mijo step away from the taco." But I ate it anyway, then as I am driving away, Pop Goes The Weasel !!!! My stomach begins to rumble and percolate like an old coffee pot, a giant gas bubble instantaneously begins developing in my belly, my intestines are twisting profusely, my sphincter has tightened and has a death grip on my underwear, and I can feel my heart beat pulsating through my rectum. Geeze Louise....I am going to be all ExLax and no Pepto... Now I am frantically in search of a clean restroom.....Needless to say, my expectations of delicious, satisfying tacos was not met today, and I am so disappointed that I didn't heed my Abuela's advice. After a trip to the doctors office, some antibiotics and doing some research, I discovered that their tacos contain a soy-based filling with beef, water, and textured...

If i had the time to go to the store make a purchase, go to my car, then walk back in after making an order , to hear that what I ordered was just put in the fryer . I waited 20 mins to have to wait longer. I had to get my money back. It's sad that while waiting i observed the manager managing her phone while waiting on the assembler to make several sandwiches, instead of helping him put down what he needed or just help him period. I've worked for Jack in the box "crew "and McDonald's "manager" to know what a manager's responsibility is. I guess she was not worried about her timing and customers or getting this review. I drove right across the street to churches chicken where i was greeted and served properly given freshly cooked food that was hot as if it was just fried when i got home. Now that was great service compared to my visit at jack in the box at 10pm on March 27th. Now you're graveyard shift has a better structure . I never had a problem with them . Karina drive thru person is so polite and fast with her orders making a customer happy. That manager should work with her and take notes. Unless just give karina...

I found this location after I was unable to use my debit card at the McDonald's across the street. McDonald's kiosk was down and only took cash.

I was in a hurry to get to work and had no time to wait. I went across the street to get cash from an ATM machine and saw a Jack in the Box open.

Growing up as a youth, I worked at McDonalds and Jack in the Box. Both restaurants serve good food. I also know good service when I see it.

Jack gave me my breakfast quickly with little to no wait at all. The ice coffee was better than the ice coffee I normally get from McDonald's.

If you're trying to get a hot and quick breakfast, especially early in the morning, definitely go to the Jack in the Box across from the slow service McDonald's.

The Jack has better food than the clown across the street....
