We (family) went here for my birthday and it was our first time. I'm going to give this place a major, huge thumbs up. Remember by my profile that I've worked in 69 different food service establishments as a cook or Chef in charge so I know a little something about good food. This place had a great variety of different types of sushi rolls both fried and cold, there could have been more Tuna offered, and I was looking for shrimp, ( my fave) but there wasn't any. However, the creativity of what they did offer was impressive. My wife and I both Loved this fried roll that had coconut on the outside, simply delicious (another big thumbs up). Now let me tell you about the buffet selections!! WOW!! First of all they have several noodle dishes to choose from ( most buffets offer only lo mein). I am a big fan of fried green bean so I couldn't have been happier that they had them. Not only was there beef and broccoli but chicken and broccoli, which I've never seen on a Chinese buffet. One beef an onion dish did have meat that was a little tuff but still had great flavor. My son had these ribs that were super tender and in a very delightful sauce. Lastly I want to Thank our server Jose for an outstanding job of taking the best care of us. He was always there checking on us, removing our plates, and getting everything thing we needed on a timely basis. It was his great service that made my birthday day dinner that much more special. I want to recommend this place, so give it a try, I'm sure you will not be...
Read moreEver feel like the water or food tastes funny, you should know a few things about this restaurant and owner. If they run out of plastic cups, they will get some out of the trash, rinse it, and serve it to you. Silverware is rarely fully washed and is instead rinsed in a sink nearby. Table smell funny? That's because the waiters use the same tag everyday for everything and they never sanitize it. They don't know any better, its run by Fair shao who has no experience and harasses both employees and customers. The owner is Roman and rather than fix the sinks and drains that are broken and leaking water, or get new equipment cause the one they have is rusted and leaves rust on your chicken sometimes, or pays an electrician to fix the flickering lights; would rather bribe the city. Ever wonder how much of top your waiter actually gets? Ask, they won't tell you, but they pay for silverware out of their pockets and get terminated for suggesting time and money saving ideas to the owner due to the fact the manager Fair shao does not like anyone smarter than her. I'm sorry, but that s everyone. Please for fear of your health, do not eat here, I got food poisoning and was hospitalized for 9 days. This is not an emotional rant, I was asked to investigate by a friend and was threatened by the owners brother and have never been back. You Be been...
Read moreProbably one of the cheapest buffets you will find with sushi in it. And while the food may not be the best, it is still worth going if you are down for some cheap all you can eat sushi.
12 bucks is the fee to be able eat whatever you want inside. I thought it was unbelievable. I'm surprised they earn a profit this way.
Food options are what you expect at a cheaper buffet. Lots of fried stuff with standard stuff like fried rice, chow mein, etc. When it comes to sushi, most of them are just similar ingredients mixed around. You will find cream cheese in around half of the rolls so if you are like me and don't like cream cheese in your sushi, you'll still at least have half of the place to explore.
Nothing tasted great but nothing tasted bad either. Although they use cheaper ingredients like imitation crab, none of the rolls tasted past their prime. Even the ones with fish did not have an off flavor. I was happy to know I could go back and get as many refills as I wanted.
So for 12 bucks, I don't think you can expect much better. For this price, I was happy with the variety of options. And since I didn't get food poisoning, I'd be happy to...
