Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Edison

I had been craving for some Indian style pizza for quite some time and this place didn’t disappoint. Chicago’s pizza with a twist, now being rebranded as ‘Pizza Twist’, (at least that’s what I figured out from their menu and the board on their store) is a great place to try out some Indian themed pizza.

Let me start by saying that dine in is closed so your options are delivery or take out. I ordered a couple of pizzas through DoorDash - chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala and one Indian style breadsticks. The chicken tikka masala pizza was delicious. The breadsticks were decent too. You could feel the flavor with every bite and I’m not even kidding about this.

If you have a pick up order, the process is a little different. You reach the restaurant and then have to call them to let them know that you’re there to pick up your food. The staff would then come out and give you your food. You can’t go inside the restaurant because they have closed the doors. These were the steps that I had to take to get my food but, this process could be different in the future so your mileage may vary.

So, here’s the deal, do I recommend this place to try out? Absolutely! Would I be ordering again from this place to try out different pizzas? Absolutely! This place is a must try if you’re tired of having the same pizzas over and over again and want something out of...

Me and my cousins went to this establishment and ordered a SMALL pizza. The smallest one they had because apparently they do not sell single pizzas ?? AFTER my cousin paid for it, the man who worked around 3 pm said it would be an extra 10 minute wait on top of what they already waited. We had to be somewhere within 5 minutes so we left and TOLD the people there we were gonna come back after our errand to get our FRESH pizza. They agreed. When we came back around 6, we told them the situation and showed them our receipt. NASTIEST people in charge. We asked them for our refund since they did not wanna even REMAKE the pizza. They tried to give us the two hour old pizza and we were shocked. He did not want to accommodate us whatsoever. No refund, no new pizza, nothing. The two men went to the back to ask the manager what to do while the two employees in the front were sitting down on their phones, and when the two men came back they said that the manager said he isn’t gonna help us. Literally over an 8$ pizza. STATE THE WAIT TIME BEFOREHAND. I have never been to an establishment so nasty in my life. Being nice gets you nowhere with people who DONT care about customer service. Disgusting. Disgusting...

I was not impressed. It was edible. I should have just gotten plan pizza - but nooo, I was feeling adventurous and ordered the lamb kabob pizza. For me it was👎first off I can't do spice - his response should have been to maybe select another kind, because we can't take the spice out of it. I'll stop there, but I could go on. My friends order a a spinach and pepperoni 10 inch as well. They told us 15 minutes, as we were on our way to a show. And it took more than 40. We planned to eat there but had to get it go as we almost cancelled the order in total. Then I ended up picking off the lamb, which pulled the cheese off. So thank God it had pineapple (meant to calm the spice). Not a good look/feel/taste left with me. I didn't even take a picture. And I always take pictures. Maybe they're new. It was 2 very young girls at the register - seemed like it was their first day there, first time on register, and firdt time responding to customers about menu/pizza offered. Somebody else can give them a try in a few months to see if they get better at it. I gave 2 stars - for effort and (employing) giving young people job...
