Hummus Republic — Restaurant in Edison

I had an appointment nearby so I decided to stop in and grab lunch on the way home. There was no one in the restaurant, including the workers. They were in front of me, an older, Indian guy and a younger kid .They both looked at me like I was a ghost when I came in the store behind them giggling and laughing quite silly like. The older guy was dismissive and put on fake air of good Customer Service in between being impatient and trying to rush me, even though there were no other customers in the store. I think he was trying to prevent me from getting the unlimited amount of choices allowed in the selection of a lamb and beef Gyro Bowl. It had been quite a while since I’ve been to the store years ago and had never really thought to go back. I normally go to Turkish restaurants in New Brunswick, New Jersey instead for better service. I have been to the Hummus Grill in Long branch on the beach and received way better service and respect from the people in the store. The food was not great at this location although presented well and looks clean. Hey everyone, I am back with another review! The Hummus Republic location in Edison, is a great restaurant! Recently, I tried a customized Mediterranean spinach wrap with spinach, halal chicken, crumbled feta, chickpea croutons, traditional tahini, and traditional hummus drizzled on the top. I also ordered Sweet potatoes fries, a Pomegranate lemonade, and the Chocolate chunk cookie. The wrap was very fresh, delicious, and filling! I wouldn’t get the chickpea croutons again as for my preference they were a bit too hard texture wise to eat.
