I don’t know if I can say enough about this pizzeria. A native New Yorker, I’ve been looking for a good pizzeria in NJ for the last five years. And I have finally found it here at Francesca’s.
I’ve had the plain pie, the speciality pies (BBQ chicken and buffalo chicken, the grandma pies (regular and tri-color), the subs (Chicken Pesto, Chicken Francesca, sausage and peppers), the entrees (mushroom ravioli, chicken francese, chicken marsala, and even the catering trays and NOTHING disappoints!
By far, their grandma pie is my favorite - especially the tri-color. The sweet sauce with the crispy crust makes the pie. Plus, they cut the pie into 8 slices so everyone gets a crust - I’m down for that!
Their other pies, plain and specialty, are just as delicious and honestly, even aesthetically pleasing. The sauces are drizzled in swirls or side by side and the pizza looks so appealing before you even take a bite! But that crust - crisp with no flop 👌🏻
I recently had a party where I ordered a six foot sub, along with pizzas and apps (garlic knots and buffalo wings). The food was delicious and out-of-this-world - after all, the bread for the sub came from Brooklyn! Even our friends from NYC raved about the food! The six foot sub was cut neatly and placed into boxes for easy transporting. And all the dressings were ready-to-go on the side. We were so pleased with the catering process -from ordering to pick up to the actual food - and will definitely be ordering from here for future parties.
I beyond ecstatic about this place and typically, don’t repeat take-out restaurants in a week. We’ve ordered from here at least 2-3x , including our catering order, in the past two weeks! I cannot believe we found this place! If I could give more stars, I would!...
Read moreOverall 3.5. Let me start off by saying if I was rating staff only, 5 stars all day. Unfortunately this is more of a food review than it is staff friendliness. I had a plain slice and grandma slice. On a one bite rating, I give the plain slice a 6.9 due to a nice flavorful bite. Not bland at all. No need to add anything in a shaker at the table to compensate for blandness. Where this slice falls apart for me is the crust. I couldn’t eat it. I like a crispy, but a nice chew to the crust. This was a hard thick cracker like crust. If you look at the video, you’ll see what I mean. If the crust was more to my liking, it would jump up the score to around a 7.5ish, which is a go to neighborhood spot where you don’t care about looking for something different. The grandma on looks was highly enticing. However, on the first bite I found the sauce to be way too sweet. Had a nice crisp on the undercarriage, but the sauce was the issue for me. On the one bite scale, I give it a 6.4. I wanted to and had high hopes to be in the 8’s for this place, if I lived in the area there is a different spot that would be my go to. Again, nothing against staff. They were super friendly and engaging. Their dinners may be fantastic, but I really don’t stray from pizza (maybe a chicken parm once in a while) when hitting...
Read moreI wanted to try a new place for pizza, Benny's had pretty good reviews and I decided to try them. I placed my order for delivery not realizing there was a $5.99 delivery fee which didn't show up until I got the order confirmation. I don't know if the delivery fee was from the establishment or the delivery company Grabull. The Grabull website says " their service is absolutely free, all you pay for is the food & whatever fee's are mentioned for delivery or processing and taxes" I did not see any mention of a delivery fee on Benny's website. Also is the delivery fee a guaranteed tip for the delivery person? If it is that person got a big tip because I added on a tip at checkout. As far as the pizza goes, it was just okay, it certainly was not worth $37.23! It's too bad since Pharmaceutical Reps pays for our lunches we order food several times a week for delivery. We can't go over $17.00 per person delivery fee's cut...
