Texlahoma BBQ — Restaurant in Edmond

I walked in and the employees were gathered behind the counter having a personal inappropriate workplace conversation. It was my 1st time there. I was not acknowledged, greeted, or made to feel welcome. I was going leave when somone (female) finally acknowledged me. I was the only customer in the store. I ask if I was in the right place to order since they didn't want to offer to service me. She spoke in a very unprofessional, unpleasant tone asking me what I wanted. I explained it was my 1st time and had a few questions about the menu. She was vague and blunt. It was obvious I wasnt welcome. A Caucasian lady then came in and was immediately serviced and allowed behind the counter. I tried to get a drink from the fountain and it was just water. I went back to the counter and again was ignored until I loudly said excuse me, to even get someones attention. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome and will not go back. My food was cold greasy and the bun was so hard it was crunchy. It was honestly the Worst customer service experience I have had at any restaurant in Edmond thus far. I've never been here before and rarely leave Google reviews and I'm pretty hard to please but the service tonight by the young man behind the front counter with the brown hair, semi long past the ears, mustache, blue short sleeve collared shirt, was 100% the best service I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time. I beg of you to give him a raise or promotion. I think he had a tattoo on his left forearm. I had to come on here to give him a shout out. I came in with my two girls and he helped tell me about the different sauces and let us try them all and asked if it was our first time in. He stated he usually has free sandwich cards but is currently out of them and gave my girls extra pickles. He was friendly and came and cleared our table when we were done as well. Honestly he sold your food so well, and the food was good! I really loved the fried okra!!! And liked the white sauce and the spicy bbq...

This place is incredible! EVERY meat that we ordered was unreal. Ribs, Turkey, Sausage, Brisket, Pork...... Hard to pick a favorite! Although…… The ribs have this beautiful flavor profile that starts with a combination of smokey & savory, added to just the right amount of salty and sweet, ping ponging back and forth on your palate, and finishing with the most satisfying rise of fresh cracked peppercorn, all contrasting between the rest, and leaving me with an all-consuming NEED to take that next bite. So yeah, the ribs are my favorite! Slaw, Mac & Cheese, Okra all good. Potato Salad is a level up.

Professional and Happy staff throughout. I have eaten at the original, had it catered and now this new location at 2nd street. ALWAY GREAT! Add this one to the list of consistently great places. GO check them out or order it for your next get together. They...
