This store needs to get it together, I just tried to mobile order it was not available at this location so I walk up to the store the door is closed and they are only allowing drive thru. I drive a semi truck I can not drive thru, one of the workers was trying to walk in so I asked him if he can ask to help me because I can’t drive thru and I’ve had this type of situation before. I either walk up to the drive thru window or wait outside and they bring me the coffee out it’s never been a big deal so a blonde girl comes EXTREMELY RUDE immediately saying no I can’t do anything for you I’m trying to talk to her she shuts me down I asked for the manager Ellse or Ellsa not sure what her name was. She comes out I tell her can I please just get a cup of coffee I can not drive thru she says no I can’t help you because she will lose her job if she takes my phone to the register to scan the Starbucks app I tell her ok then just give me a cup of coffee for this inconvenience she said again she will lose her job is she gives me free coffee. Then proceeds to cry because she’s so stressed and shes been through so much already. As a truck driver I am so tired of people like you and your staff we deal with so much hardship everyday the reason you guys operate, work and have a job is because another truck driver delivered product to your store to allow you to operate. Asking you to accommodate me because I can’t drive thru is not to much to ask for when you decide to shut down your mobile ordering and close your dining room. That is your issue and you need to accommodate customers doing that is called good customer service you will not lose your job for it. I will be...
Read moreThis is not a review on the employees but the company as a whole. I stop in every Sunday, and today gave me the clarity I needed for this store.
Effingham Starbucks, always packed and always short staffed. There were THREE baristas today - a shift manager and two trainees. Sundays always have such a long line, there need to be more baristas in the building at busy times (Starbucks, I’m talking to you) They also got a truck in so boxes were stacked everywhere. I know the company can afford to bring in at least two more employees for days like this. Ridiculous to have two trainees who don’t know their way around yet and stack all the responsibilities on the shift manager. The shift manager doesn’t deserve the wrath from angry uncaffinated customers, it’s not their fault the company sucks. Apparently two shift managers have walked out in the last week due to constant staffing issues. I understand, as there’s never more than three baristas in there every Sunday.
My drink was made wrong twice - got a grande instead of a venti. It was remade but without the additional shots of espresso I asked for and paid for. Again, not blaming the employees. If they weren’t overwhelmed it would have been correct the first...
Read moreBack here again on Sunday, 9/25/22, at noon, as we were on our way to Chicago! Crazy time at NOON. AVOID, if you can!
The whole town shows up for coffee, LOL! Actually, the friendly, happy bistras were doing the best that they could, albeit running out of product! I think the town needs another Starbuck's! What a Gold Mine this one is! But, it needs more coordination for efficiency & effectiveness.
I just wanted a tall coffee. All they had was the bitter Pike's Place. Wouldn't even offer a pour over of another coffee! So, next thing I did was order a DOPPIO. Big mistake because it was a real long wait! Terrible!
Then, I received the DOPPIO in a plastic tall container only because I asked them to throw in an ice cube or two. That was different. And, by time I received it, the ice was melted! And, it took so long that I thought my order was lost! I was ready to have them credit my account. We needed to get on the highway! Oh well! Won't go back during that time...
