We have stayed at this hotel 6 or 7 times over the last few years because it was a perfect perfect pet and family friendly place to stop and rest during our trip. However if has gotten progressively worse over the last 3 or 4 years. We normally take advantage of the amenities so that our kids can get some energy out , but of course the pool is closed with all that is going on right now and there is no complimentary continental breakfast. I do get all of that. But without all of the amenities the price is too much. We stayed TWICE over the last week. The first time we stayed they had booked our reservation for the wrong night. That was rectified, so no biggie. I have read that there are supposed to be complimentary wipes and sanitizer and we didn't have that. There are only ever towels for two in the room even though we booked for 4 people. And there are literally only two pillows per bed now. The pillows are ROCK HARD and tiny. So we got no sleep that first stop. We decided to try it again and booked a room on out return trip. This time we booked the 2 room suite with the pull out sofa. We got wipes with our key cards. but no sanitizer. Then we get to the room and there are only two towels yet again, and there are no linens whatsoever for the pull out bed. I called down for linens and they literally sent up a blanket and a flat sheet. No pillows or fitted sheets. Luckily my girls had their own pillows that they traveled with, but we went to Walmart and BOUGHT PILLOWS for our bed because the pillows are horrible. That second night in room 233 the water pressure wasn't great at all and took forever to get warm. Then when we turned on the ac units they smelled musty or moldy. The hallways, stairwells, and elevators were also FILTHY and the garbage and pet waste containers were overflowing behind the hotel next to cracker barrel. It was all around a bad experience. While the staff was nice, it is just not worth it to pay that much and be that miserable! We are Wyndham rewards members, and honestly we have no intentions of ever staying again...
Read moreThe hotel was nice enough, as was the room. However, the fire alarm started going off around 2:30am. Apparently it was some kind of malfunction as we were told we did not need to evacuate. My husband and I were staying in the room with our 2 kids (aged 5 and 3). Of course the kids woke up and it was a significant challenge to settle them back down because the alarm was going off for at least 15-20 minutes. Upon checking out, the person at the desk asked how our stay was. My husband responded that it was fine other than the fire alarm going off for a long time in the middle of the night for no reason and waking our kids. The desk worker didnât even acknowledge his response to her question. Clearly she was asking because thatâs what you do and didnât actually care at all if he even responded. Some type of response wouldâve been appropriate in the situation. And then, shortly after leaving the hotel, I realized I had left my earrings in the room. I immediately called the front desk and she informed me that they hadnât cleaned our room yet. I told her EXACTLY where to find them. She said she would go then and retrieve the earrings from the room. I called a few hours later and that particular person was no longer working. The girl I spoke with said she hadnât seen anything but would check the lost and found and told me to call back. So I called back and she said nothing had been found. It sucks because I liked the earrings, but it was my fault for leaving them. However, I think it is clear that no one actually looked for them and my request was simply ignored. Even though the room was nice and the hotel was nice, there is no chance my family and I will stay in another LaQuinta hotel. Mainly because of the lack of consideration on the part of those front...
Read moreThe hotel itself isnât one-star but the way the staff behaved following my stay is the reason the dropped my rating. Following my stay I received a text asking how everything was. I told them the multiple reasons I did not enjoy my stay. They never once apologized and instead excused away my legit concerns.
The hotel looks good from the photos but paint is chipping off the walls and the furniture was run down.
The bathroom configuration offers no privacy as the closed toilet/shower area is so small they canât even fit a trash can in it. Thereâs nowhere to put your clothes in the shower/toilet area to change because the sink is literally in the bedroom next to the entry way (Iâve never seen such an absurd set up).
The beds and pillows are rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. (According to their management behind the text alerts, they think everyone except me loves their beds.)
If you want breakfast before 7 am on a Saturday, forget about it. (The text alert person claims thatâs the case so people can sleep in ... many people are up and about long before 7 am FYI.)
If you have questions about your stay, donât expect anyone to be working the front desk. Instead youâll find them on their laptop in the lounge area with a very âmehâ attitude.
And finally, when you get the text alerts asking about your stay, unless you give them a glowing review, youâll get a nasty attitude that doesnât even come close to exemplifying customer service.
Management here thinks their hotel is picture perfect. In reality, itâs far from perfect let along great, good,...
