Im from philly so its disheartening to see that their"philly cheese steak" comes with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and onions. That is not a cheese steak. Period. Quick lesson from a Philadelphian, cheese steak sandwich comes with cheese (cheese wiz, American,or Provolone) and steak. If you ask for it you can get fried onions or uncooked but who eats uncooked onions on a steak sandwich? I just dont understand why anyone would ruin a simple sandwich by complicating it with the makings of whats called a "cheese steak hogie" thats what comes with the lettuce mayo and what ever. Anyway i asked for mine ,hold everything but the name sake of the dam thing and it was good. I really wanted mine with wiz though like really guys get a big can of cheese wiz and start making your sammys with that instead of Provolone and you ll win some more people definitely. End rant. Try it and write your review its a place...
Read moreIf you’re in East County San Diego and haven’t tried this spot yet, do yourself a favor and go. This place is amazing. Everything from the food to the vibe is on point.
The owner, Ranny, is one of the friendliest, most generous guys you’ll meet. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every single bite.
Now the Philly cheesesteak? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled meat, melted cheese, fresh roll, it’s everything you want and more. If you go (and you should), ask for the Philly Cheesesteak “The Works”. It’s loaded, it’s flavorful, and it’ll ruin all other cheesesteaks for you in the best way.
The spot has a great atmosphere too, clean, welcoming, and just a good place to chill and enjoy your food.
Ranny’s created something special here. Don’t miss it. It is really worth the drive even if you are a distance...

It's my 1st visit here in over 2 years and I see the same owner the Philly Steak Sandwich size large w/works is a can't miss. 👍Bread is soft with a good crust and the quality beef this guy uses is never dry or full of gristle as I often find in my carne asada burritos I by locally in the East County. I am subtracting a couple points for something that baffles me. This is the first restaurant/deli I've heard of that adds cold lettuce, tomato and avocado to the HOT sandwiches on their menu. Warm lettuce=👎, warm avocado=✔😭, fresh steamy 🍅=soup Unfortunately I have a couple other small issues that cannot be ignored with regards to customer service; The air temperature inside of thrcustomer dining area is far too hot! The elderly customers and those customers with underlying health conditions may suffer under such...
