Main Street Donuts & Deli — Restaurant in El Cajon

Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable pricing. The menu items have cute names referencing the legal system. I got the "Right to Remain Cilantro". Really good sandwich! They made it on MARBLE RYE! Who else has that? My sandwich included a DONUT HOLE I didn't even ask for. I guess that's a standard thing here. The ONLY chips available with their lunch deal are "kettle style", which I'm not fond of. The drinks they sell are all in bottles and cans, but they don't have any recycling receptacle. It felt wrong putting it in with the trash. I went on a Monday at lunch time when so many of the other nearby eateries were closed. The floors and especially the BASEBOARDS were in desperate need of a good scrubbing. The grime was a bit overwhelming and seriously took away a LOT from the overall experience. Decided to try a different donut shop walked in and the donut selection was quite scarce AND donuts looked from two days ago.

Purchased one anyway just to try it out, the employee appeared annoyed I only asked for one donut! $1.50 pricey. I asked at what time does the firs donut batch come out and she mentioned "the only batch" comes out when we open, so I asked what time do you open? At 7 on Saturday she said and appeared totally annoyed!

I felt I was prying words out of this rude woman! I grabbed the days old donut turned around and noticed a trash can by the door and I threw the donut in it!

In the background that same old woman yelling unprofessional words I will not mention here! I had the worst experience. I find it surprising this place has good reviews selling days old donuts with bad...

A division of Mary's Donuts. As in all of Mary's locations, the donuts are fresh, tasty, and fairly priced. Boston cream is my favorite. Their coffee is very good also and not overpriced. This location also has a deli, so it makes this a perfect stop at any time of the day. As is the case at their other locations, their staff is very friendly.
