The Landing — Restaurant in El Cajon

I went there with a friend and it was kind of within the last hour and half before they closed. We sat outside but it was way too dark . The tables were in need of cleaning and there was no lighting at all . Which makes for a lack of ambience . Even during this time a little ambience can go a long way and it doesn't cost much. Some candles on the tables or a string of outdoor lights is all it takes to make a difference . My friend paid with his card and had a hard time reading the receipt to see the total and to sign it . If the parking lot is where we have to sit at least make it look a little more inviting so it doesn't feel like we are sitting in a dark parking lot . Cool location. Parking available. Live music is nice just very loud. The drinks were good. The food was pretty bad. The appetizers were good. But the entrees were terrible. Our six person table all didn’t eat more than a couple bites. Streak, burgers, fish, all with no seasoning or flavor. We threw out hundreds of dollars of food. We won’t be back. That picture posted is a far cry from how it really looks . Its more like ripped bar stools and uneven tables because the legs are not even. And it's usually pretty dark on any day at any time. It's an okay neighborhood bar . I don't ever mind stopping in for a drink sometimes. I wouldn't go there regularly...
