If there were more than 5 stars I would give it. How should I start? The place, the moment I walked into the restaurant you can feel the family/home feeling, the decor was nice and the place was very clean and ordely. The person that tended to me was super friendly, he explained the menu to me with such detail and a smile on his face. Making me feel very comfortable about what I was about to order for me and my wife. This is my first time eating out here and I will be back with my kids. Let's talk about th food, I order a chicken Tikka Kabob with rice and salad. My wife ordered the beef shami Kabob with rice, salad and chattni. I got to tell you the food didn't disappoint, the flavor was so good, the chicken was tender, cooked to perfection, you can tell they take time marinating the chicken and then put in the skewer and the grill, they know when to take it out so it is just a litle charred around the edges yet soft and moist inside (not dried like in other places) here they know their way aroun their meat. The rice with a hint of saffron and their secret spices is to die for! I love rice yet this is very tasty and special. Their bean soup was unexpected yet a very special treat not salty not too savory just right. My wife's beef shami kabob was just as a pleasant as the chicken. There was a little int of spice on the meat wich makes it interesting and not bland. The tandoor bread was such a treat, we don't eat it very often and this is going to be my to go place for the Tandoor bread. We took 2 for home so my kids could tasted and it didn't ast very long after we came home, our boys ate the bread very fast. When it comes to the area, the please is really easy to get too, and there is handicap spaces as well as accomodatons for handicap as well as children. All an all it was a very excellent experience for me and my wife. This is a place that I will come back and recommed to everyone around. If you ever fee like eating Kabobs and are around El Cajon this...

Read moreSo my friend brought me here saying not many afghan options in San Diego but this was zabiha halal. We got here the place was very nice, not packed but that is ok. We got the menu and sat down. We ordered an afghan burger, one beef kabob with bread, chicken tikka kabob and chicken shaami kabob and chapli kabob and bolani and shamsi kabob as well. The bolani came after well at same time as main items but we were hoping it to come first as an appetizer, it was ok not the Best in terms of texture but it was flavored well, could have been a bit spicier. The rice in the dishes was not good at all for an afghan standard, I’ve had good afghan food in the Bay Area in NorCal so this was very dissapointing. The chicken kabobs were also not juicy and had a plastic ish look on them to describe it. The chapli kabob had no flavor and was like very similar to a shaami kabob. The fries were also soggy as well. Overall the afghan food standard is very low in San Diego and would recommend they (chefs) go up to NorCal and try out places like de afghanan in Fremont for comparison. For the prices they had the quality was not worth it. Also the afghan burger was more like a wrap and not a burger so they may wanna change the name on that. But atleast there was no music so 1 star for that. Hopefully they can fix the food...
