This cafe is my new go-to spot! This cafe popped up right where work at, and I love that they have strong coffee and fresh pastries. I am impressed with the owner as she works hard to deliver a unique menu, with plenty of options. I believe they have been open for a short time, making great use out of a place that I’ve seen vacant for many years. What a great addition to the el cerrito community.

Sweet Potatos Up Beet Café is really a cozy place! The atmosphere in the courtyard gives a continental feel, and the staff is always super nice and helpful. The coffee and the accompaniments are both generous, tasty and affordable. It is a place where you can really enjoy a relaxing moment with a cup of coffee.

A classy little retreat right near BART and El Cerrito Plaza. Been here before and enjoyed the indoor and sidewalk seating, but I just discovered the courtyard. Feels like I'm in a Mediterranean cafe. So serene and beautiful. Grapevines and bougainvillea.

Such a super cute eclectic, locally owned coffee shop mixed with a boutique full of local treasures. Loved the food + drink options and the super chill vibes. We cozied up in the comfy seating area with our drinks before heading to the Bay for a hike, and I couldn’t resist browsing the locally made jewelry and clothes. Even played a game and pulled a few tarot cards before heading out.
