We got food togo. When we walked in to pick up the food, the place looked a little empty (Sunday at 1230pm). However, the inside of the restaurant looked really clean and well organized.
We ordered: Shrimp crisp rolls: crispy, delicious and flavorful. Crispy egg rolls: not really worth it, ratio of ingredients was off, felt like there was a lot of taro and not enough meat. Papaya salad: papaya is cut in waffle cut shape. My friend said it made it harder to eat. Flavor was okay. Chicken salad: solid, could have a little bit more chicken but the flavors and combo came together well. Pho Ga: decent. There is no good pho places near by, so this pho doesn’t have much competition. The broth is crisp and clear; good for when you’re ill. Rice plate: you got to choose 2 meats/appetizers. It wasn’t as amazing as I was hoping it’d be. I usually love this dish and felt that the proportions were a bit sad and the flavor was only mediocre. Thai ice tea: too sweet
Overall good place for a night out with Asian parents; pricey for what you...
Read moreI just learned that this restaurant changed ownership from the previous Nong Thon restaurant and decided to give it a try. The menu was upgraded with many more new dishes (which made me so excited!!!!!!). They kept the interior decoration pretty much the same, and add more flowers and more lights, which I love it. The quality and presentation of their food is much better. I love their Fried shrimp rolls, that is a MUST TRY dish, guys!!!! also their Beef Pho and huge fresh spring rolls are delicious too. The portion of food is big and reasonable to compare with the price. I ordered the Crispy fried noodle, and requested them to make the sauce separately. I added the sauce a little bit at a time to my noodle so that I can have the noodle crispy until my last bite. One thing I love from this restaurant is that they are very flexible with your order, you can modify and ask them to make it special customized as you want. 10 points for their...
Read moreI hadn’t been in awhile & was wishing there were a good pho place around, so decided to give Tigon a go, after a bit of time has passed.
I am so glad I did! It surpassed my expectations in all areas. Delicious, artful, fresh, good size portions and value, and very friendly and attentive service. A bonus, for me, is getting to sit along San Pablo Avenue at a busy intersection and watch the world go by. Lots of seating options and traditional decorations —booths, window seats, large group tables. Thoughtful touches, such as spoon that has a small curve that hooks on the side of the pho bowl!
I was hankering for meat, so ordered a build your own beef pho. And, Vietnamese rolls. Everything was so fresh! The menu includes many vegetarian options, too, which is sometimes what I hanker for!
I am so happy they are here and seem to be doing well! The restaurant was fairly busy. Would be a great place to meet friends before or...
