It was my first time at Thai House Co. and from the moment we entered, I knew this place was special. The ambiance, the welcome, literally everything about this little restaurant brought me warmth and comfort. As we walked over to the sushi bar, we were immediately greeted ardently by all of the staff. We spoke to Willo and Paul and asked them for recommendations. Willo suggested that we try some of Paul’s specials and we couldn’t have been any happier with our decision. Each of the sushi rolls had a complexity of flavors that all flawlessly came together. Eating this sushi was akin to drinking a fine wine. After talked to Paul a bit more, he suggested getting the smoked yellowtail. The presentation was absolutely incredible. The yellowtail was put into a small glass container and we watched as the smoking process, that Paul had devolved, occurred. After taking our first bite, we were greeted by flavors of cilantro, truffle, and blue cheese with a savory smoky flavor. It was a true culinary experience and by far one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend...
Read moreThis place is awesome. We went last night for the first time. We are in Basalt a few times each year and hadn’t been until yesterday. We heard it was great and we were not disappointed. The food was incredible and everyone was so friendly. We ordered the pork belly, yellowtail, phat Thai with chicken, and when we asked to try the spiciest level of hot they brought out the nem lettuce wraps. Everything was phenomenal. We tried a range of spiciness and it was all great, I would say go for it when it comes to spice as that flavor was unbeatable. Beyond all the food being great, everyone was super nice and helpful as we were trying to narrow down our order (the whole menu looks incredible). No joke, the pad Thai was the best I’ve ever had. Overall great experience, and we are excited to add it to our list of go to places...
Read moreIf you are between Glenwood and Aspen this is the only sushi restaurant to patronage. Authentic Japanese sushi, the owner even shuts down every year when he goes back to his homeland in Japan to study the art of sushi. His stories of being heli-dropped onto peaks in Alaska will engage you and his yellowtail carpaccio will overwhelm your taste buds as you listen. It's a hole in the wall, if you are the type of consumer looking for a chain don't bother - this is authentic. This isn't aspen either, so if you need a server to stroke your ego, again, don't bother. This is the only place I will go. Single cut sushi or sashimi is the best. Even if you want a little "Americano" in your roll - try the Cabo Roll, yummy/spicy/mayo filled goodness will make you...
