Big Wok Chinese Fast Food — Restaurant in El Monte

They used to be New Wok on Peck Rd next to the dealership in the shopping center! They are the best Wok in El Monte! I almost cried after eating their food. We tried other Woks from 5 different cities, NONE of them compare! Have been a customer since I was a kid! So happy they are reopen! It’s our first visit to their new location.

Their rice in this visit was a bit too salty and taste slightly different too. But, their signature chow mein is SO good! No other place compares! Their egg roles are also delicious too! Their food quantity is just as big too! You really get your bang for your buck:

Update: Food is still great, service is spectacular as always. This is the only Chinese food place I go to. Nothing else will do.

So glad that this place has reopened! I was devastated when the old location closed and thought they were gone for good, but they are back and just as good as before. I had been craving the spicy pork ribs for months and when I finally got them I almost cried I was so happy.

Food was freshly made, if you go and see empty trays don't let that fool you, they do make to order. The cashier was friendly and incredibly patient with me as I was trying to figure out what to order. They give healthy portions and the cost is very reasonable. I recommend for people who are short on cash and want good food. The wait was not long the only thing I wish they would do is have the air conditioning on as it was a little stuffy in the restaurant.
